ADOR explained NewJeans‘ absence at an upcoming HYBE exhibit.
On July 15, a representative from ADOR spoke to Segye Business Sports World about NewJeans not participating in HYBE’s Grammy exhibit.
In a report, the news outlet relayed a statement from ADOR.
NewJeans’ absence from HYBE’s exhibit wasn’t due to us not cooperating. We felt that the exhibit could not show all of what NewJeans has to offer, correctly.

Previously, controversy erupted when it was revealed that one of HYBE’s most successful acts would not participate in a special exhibit at The Grammy Museum. HYBE has since revealed that ADOR chose not to participate.
Netizens reacted to the news by supporting ADOR’s decision. Many also alleged that NewJeans were offered a spot in the exhibit that wasn’t very flattering to the group.
- “Those that are cursing at Min need to go pray.”
- “Why is HYBE doing this to their own artist? They are making money off them, right?”
- “What do you mean HYBE offered a good spot? How is a spot without a wall to hang anything from a good spot?”
- “It’s better that NewJeans hold their own exhibit later.”
- “CHUYBE, you guys need to stop media playing with lies.”
- “The spot that they offered doesn’t look very good. I thought it was weird when HYBE claimed the spot next to the entrance was a good spot. I was right.”
- “It’s a great decision. The minute they are introduced as HYBE’s artists, they are no longer the main attraction.”
- “HYBE exhibit? Um… NewJeans’ exhibit? Just hearing it makes me want to go.”
