A Night to Remember for Aespa
Aespa achieved a huge milestone at the 2024 MAMA Awards, winning the Song of the Year award for their hit track ‘Supernova’. The group also took home a total of six awards during the ceremony held on November 23 at Kyocera Dome Osaka, Japan, marking one of their most significant nights yet.
Aespa Shares Their Joy
Upon receiving the grand prize, the members expressed their heartfelt gratitude:
“This is truly beyond our imagination. We’re so thankful for the love ‘Supernova’ has received, and it’s an honor to be standing here. We’ll continue working hard to deliver even better music in the future.”
The group also addressed their fans, saying:
“To our MYs, thank you so much for showering us with love all year. So many people helped us along the way, and we’re incredibly grateful. We love you, SM Entertainment! Our goal for this year was to win a grand prize. Achieving this at MAMA makes us so happy.”
Reflecting on their journey, they shared:
“It’s been three years since we last attended MAMA. Back then, it was during the pandemic, and many fans couldn’t be there. Being able to share this moment with all of you in such a grand venue makes it even more special.”

Aespa’s six awards included Best Dance Performance, Best Choreography, Best Female Group, Best Music Video, and the Fans’ Choice Award.
Best Dance Performance
For this award, Winter extended gratitude to their fans and team:
“We’re so grateful to our fans who cheered on our performances. A huge thanks to our choreography team, Lena, and all the dancers who helped make it amazing. We’ll keep working hard to deliver incredible performances next year as well.”
Best Choreography
Receiving the choreography award for ‘Supernova,’ the group said:
“We worked so hard on these songs this year, and it’s heartwarming to see ‘Supernova’ loved so much. Huge thanks to our choreographers, stylists, and everyone who supported us.”
Best Female Group
While accepting the award, Winter thanked their fans and team:

Giselle, speaking in Japanese, added:

Best Music Video
The group’s track ‘Armageddon’ earned this recognition. Reflecting on the honor, Winter shared:
“This music video is one of our favorites, and receiving this award makes it even more meaningful. We’re so grateful to the director, the music video team, and everyone involved—our stylists, makeup artists, and staff.”
