The upcoming movie Omniscient Reader: The Prophet has released new stills featuring Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Min Ho, BLACKPINKโ€™s Jisoo, and Chae Soo Bin. The film is based on the popular web novel Omniscient Readerโ€™s Viewpoint and is set to release in South Korean theaters on July 23, 2025.

The story follows Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), a contract worker at a game company and the only reader of a web novel that has been serialized for 10 years. When the novel ends, its apocalyptic world suddenly becomes reality. Kim Dok Ja uses his knowledge of the story to survive and change its tragic ending.

Lee Min Ho plays Yoo Joong Hyuk, the main character of the novel who has the ability to regress after death. He meets Kim Dok Ja, who knows the future events of the story. The two must work together to fight monsters and save humanity.

The new stills show intense action scenes, with characters battling creatures in subways and ruined cities. Jisoo plays Lee Ji Hye, a high school student who sees Yoo Joong Hyuk as her teacher. Chae Soo Bin is Yoo Sang Ah, Kim Dok Jaโ€™s co-worker, while Nana appears as Jung Hee Won, a skilled warrior.

The filmโ€™s trailer reveals large-scale CGI battles, subway chaos, and a world where fiction blends with reality. Kim Dok Ja says, โ€œThe story I loved has become reality,โ€ as he navigates dangerous scenarios.

“I wanted to portray Kim Dok Ja as an ordinary man that anyone could relate to,” said Ahn Hyo Seop. “I also focused on showing how everyone grows together in this crisis.”

Lee Min Ho shared his approach to his role: “I thought a lot about the loneliness of someone who lives forever. Since my character fights constantly, I trained hard for the action scenes.”

The movie has a reported budget of $21 million and a runtime of 1 hour and 56 minutes. Fans are excited to see Jisooโ€™s big-screen debut and the dynamic between Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Min Ho.
