A new K-pop group called ALLDAY PROJECT is making headlines, but not just for their music. Fans are comparing the group’s members to the villainous bullies from the hit Netflix drama The Glory. The group, set to debut on June 23, 2025, under THE BLACK LABEL, has faced mixed reactions online due to their visuals and backgrounds.
The comparison started when a post on the Korean forum theqoo went viral. The post titled “New Co-ed Group with Shinsegae Heiress Feels Like Yeonjin’s Crew from The Glory” gained over 78,000 views. It highlighted how the group’s stylish, high-fashion image reminded people of the wealthy and ruthless bullies from the drama.
One member, Tarzzan, became a major focus. Netizens pointed out his sharp features and cold expression, saying he resembles Son Myung Oh, one of the most disturbing characters in The Glory. Another member, Annie, is a Shinsegae heiress, adding to the comparisons since the drama’s villains were also from powerful families.
The original post clarified that it was not accusing the members of being bullies.
“I’m not saying they were school bullies!! Just saying the image combo gives that vibe LOL.”
Despite this, the post led to heated discussions. Some found it funny, while others called it unfair to compare real-life idols to fictional villains.
ALLDAY PROJECT consists of five members: Annie, Tarzzan, Bailey, Woochan, and Youngseo. Each member has a unique background, from Annie’s elite family connections to Bailey’s fame as a global choreographer. Their debut single, “FAMOUS”, is set to release on June 23.
The group’s visuals and concept photos have been described as “luxurious” and “high-end”, which some fans say adds to the “villainous” comparison. The drama The Glory, starring Song Hye Kyo, revolves around school bullying and revenge, making the comparison even more striking.
Some netizens defended the group, saying the comparisons were exaggerated.
“How long are people going to keep acting like it’s okay to beat up on them just because they seem like someone it’s ‘safe’ to criticize?”
Others pointed out that the members are adults, unlike many rookie idols who debut as teenagers.
“This is why companies keep debuting 14-year-olds. Every time we get a group with all members over 18, you guys wanna call them bullies… for being… grown up… and not looking innocent.”
