Keifer’s Emotional Confession About His Traumatic Past
After they leave, Keifer is upset with Jay-Jay for putting herself in danger. That night, he asks to see her and apologizes for his anger. He then explains why he was so scared. Keifer reveals the brutal truth about his father’s abuse, which he has kept secret.
He tells Jay-Jay that Kaizer was always violent toward his mother, Serena. The abuse continued for years. The most tragic part of Keifer’s story is that he witnessed his father kill his mother. Keifer had to watch his mother die and could not stop it. This traumatic event is why he is so protective of the people he loves now and was so afraid when Jay-Jay risked her life.
Keifer tells Jay-Jay: He explains that Kaizer has always been abusive, and his mother even left him at one point. However, she forgave him when Keiren was born, but nothing changed. Kaizer kept abusing her physically and mentally, and when Keifer reached his breaking point, Kaizer killed Serena in front of him.
Hearing this painful history brings Jay-Jay to tears. Keifer credits his friend, Angelo, for giving him the strength to keep going after this tragedy.
Aries Plants Doubt in Jay-Jay’s Mind
Just as Jay-Jay and Keifer share this deep, emotional moment, a new problem appears. As Jay-Jay returns home, her brother Aries sees her and questions her about Keifer. Aries warns Jay-Jay that Keifer might be using her. He claims that Keifer said the same romantic things to another girl, Ella, when they were together.
This information shocks Jay-Jay, who is already emotionally drained from the day’s events. The episode ends with her crying again, now caught between her feelings for Keifer and this new doubt about his honesty.
