Marvel Television is giving fans another look at the chaos coming to Hell’s Kitchen. A new promo for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 dropped recently, showing more of the street-level war between Matt Murdock and Mayor Wilson Fisk. The 30-second clip features fresh action footage and confirms the return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, a moment fans have been waiting for since her Netflix series ended.

The second season picks up six months after the events of Season 1. Wilson Fisk has declared martial law and is now reshaping New York City under his control. With anti-vigilante forces patrolling the streets and Daredevil labeled public enemy number one, Matt Murdock has to fight from the shadows to take down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire.

Time Jump and New Story Direction

The upcoming season starts with a significant shift in the timeline. Showrunner Dario Scardapane explained that when Season 2 begins, Fisk has already won. The city is slowly being put under his control, and viewers meet the main characters six months after the martial law declaration.

Scardapane told SFX Magazine that the Fisk administration has really taken hold by this point. At the same time, there is a growing underground resistance forming against his rule. New York is being transformed, and whether people call that a rebirth or decay depends on which side they stand on. The characters themselves are changed by these huge political changes happening around them.

The new promo shows Daredevil preparing for what looks like an all-out war. He appears to be gathering allies and getting ready to strike back against Fisk’s forces. The footage also gives glimpses of the Anti-Vigilante Task Force patrolling the streets, showing just how much power the mayor now holds over the city.

Jessica Jones Finally Returns

One of the biggest moments in the new promo is the confirmation that Krysten Ritter is back as Jessica Jones. The character was a fan favorite during the Netflix era of Marvel shows, and her return has been teased for years. Now it is finally happening. The promo shows her standing alongside other characters, confirming she will play a role in the fight against Fisk.

Jessica Jones last appeared in her own Netflix series, which ended in 2019. Since Marvel Studios took over production of these characters, fans have wondered when she would show up again. Her appearance in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 marks the first time she has been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the Netflix shows were folded into the larger franchise.

The official description from Marvel Television states that this season marks the long-awaited return of Krysten Ritter as the fan-favorite Jessica Jones. Her exact role in the story is still being kept under wraps, but given the conflict brewing in New York, she is likely to be a key player in helping Daredevil push back against Fisk’s growing power.

Swordsman Brings the Action

Tony Dalton returns as Jacques “Jack” Duquesne, also known as Swordsman. The character first appeared in Hawkeye and later showed up in Season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again as a vigilante who crossed paths with Fisk. By the end of the first season, Jack was locked up in the Kingpin’s makeshift prison.

The new promo shows Swordsman fighting members of the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. The scene appears to be part of a breakout, possibly connected to Frank Castle’s post-credits escape from Season 1. Whether the Punisher freed everyone or Jack had to fight his own way out remains unclear, but the footage makes it clear he is not staying locked up for long.

Dalton previously talked about how intense the action scenes were for this season. He said he did a bunch of action stuff for this next season and got hurt pretty badly. He thought he chipped a rib and was in bed for two or three weeks, with bruises all over him. He explained that the action sequences are hard and the stunt team goes all out. They get right in the actor’s face and make it look real. Dalton said it was hard but also a lot of fun.

Returning Cast and New Faces

The cast for Season 2 brings back several familiar faces from both the Netflix series and the first season of Born Again. Charlie Cox leads the show as Matt Murdock and Daredevil, while Vincent D’Onofrio returns as Wilson Fisk. Deborah Ann Woll is back as Karen Page, and Ayelet Zurer returns as Vanessa Fisk. Wilson Bethel also reprises his role as Benjamin Poindexter, better known as Bullseye.

Margarita Levieva returns as Heather Glenn, and Elden Henson is also back as Foggy Nelson. The season also introduces Matthew Lillard as a mysterious character named Mr. Charles. Marvel is keeping details about his role quiet for now.

One notable absence is Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher. Reports indicate that Bernthal will not be returning for Season 2, though his character did appear in the post-credits scene of Season 1.

Release Information and Episode Count

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will have eight episodes, matching the length of the first season. The season premieres on March 24, 2026, exclusively on Disney+.

For viewers in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, the show will be available on Disney+ starting March 24. In India, the series will stream on JioHotstar beginning March 25, 2026.

A third season has already been confirmed and is currently in production. This shows that Marvel Studios is committed to continuing the story beyond this upcoming season.

What to Expect From Season 2

The new promo makes it clear that Season 2 is going to be even more intense than the first. Mayor Fisk is no longer hiding in the shadows. He is openly using his political power to hunt down Daredevil and anyone who stands in his way. The Anti-Vigilante Task Force gives him a legal way to go after masked heroes, turning public opinion against them.

Matt Murdock has to work from the underground now. He is no longer just a lawyer fighting in courtrooms. He has to become something else to take back his city. The show’s official description says survival, resistance, and redemption collide as the battle for the soul of New York begins.

With Jessica Jones joining the fight and Swordsman breaking out of prison, Daredevil is getting the backup he needs. But Fisk has the entire city government and law enforcement on his side. The fight for Hell’s Kitchen is far from over.
