Netflix prepares to launch two distinct K-dramas in April, offering viewers a mix of medical drama and fantasy romance. “Resident Playbook,” a spin-off of the popular “Hospital Playlist,” and the unique love story “Heavenly Ever After” will both become available for streaming.

Medical Drama: Resident Playbook

Resident Playbook” focuses on the lives and friendships of obstetrics and gynecology residents at Yulje Medical Center’s Jongno branch. Originally planned for a July 2024 release, the series faced delays due to medical professional resignations in South Korea. The series will consist of 12 episodes.

The show will begin airing weekly on Netflix starting April 12.

Fantasy Romance: Heavenly Ever After

“Heavenly Ever After” presents a story of love beyond life. Lee Hae Suk, played by Kim Hye Ja, goes to heaven after a long life and meets her late husband, Ko Nak Joon, portrayed by Son Suk Ku. He appears as his younger self, in his 30s. The drama will consist of 12 episodes.

The series is scheduled to be available on Netflix from April 5 to 26, though this schedule remains to be confirmed. The show will present a story of eternal love.

These two dramas, “Resident Playbook” and “Heavenly Ever After,” offer different experiences for K-drama fans. “Resident Playbook” provides a look into the lives of medical residents, while “Heavenly Ever After” explores a love story that transcends life and death.
