The competition inside the Big Brother house is intensifying as the 2025 season moves into its later stages. Following a shocking double eviction on Halloween and several unexpected twists, the field of contestants has narrowed significantly, raising the stakes for the remaining housemates.

The most recent eviction night on Friday, October 31, saw two housemates eliminated in a surprise double eviction. Zelah Glasson and Farida Khalifa were both sent home after facing the public vote alongside Richard. Zelah was met with boos from the crowd, while Farida exited to cheers, telling hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best she was “so happy to be out” but had “the most amazing time.” This brought the total number of exits to seven, marking a major shift in the house dynamics.

The Current Elimination Landscape

With the grand prize of ยฃ100,000 on the line, the pressure is higher than ever for the remaining contestants. The game has been unpredictable, featuring fake evictions, surprise returns, and even a housemate removal.

In a dramatic twist during the October 17 episode, a planned fake eviction saw housemate Sam seemingly eliminated. However, he was instead moved to a secret room. He was joined there by two returning contestants: Emily Hewertson, the first contestant eliminated on launch night, and Farida Khalifa, who was the first evictee from the 2023 series. Emily stated she was “full of plot twists” and “really raring to go,” while Farida said she returned because she didn’t feel “fulfilled” after only a few days in her original season.

A Look Back at Recent Evictions

The journey to the current lineup has been filled with dramatic exits. The second live eviction of the season saw Cameron B leave the house after receiving the fewest public votes. Before the Halloween double eviction, the third live eviction saw Feyisola pack her bags after losing the public vote against fellow nominees Tate, Teja, and Nancy.

One of the most significant departures was not due to a public vote. Contestant George Gilbert was removed from the house on Wednesday, October 8, after what a Big Brother spokesperson described as “repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour.” He had previously received a formal warning for comments about fellow housemate Sam Ashby. His removal occurred just before a scheduled live eviction for which he was nominated.

Winner Odds and Fan Reactions

As the finals approach, betting odds provide insight into who might win the entire competition. Consistently strong performances have made Jenny Baird the current frontrunner to win, with odds of 2/1 according to recent updates. She has been a favourite for quite some time.

However, the dynamics can always change. Betting expert Jake Ashton noted that Sam’s re-entry into the game via the secret room could be a “wildcard,” and that such twists “often breathe life into the betting market.” Other strong contenders in the winner’s odds include Zelah Glasson at 7/2 and Richard Storry at 4/1.

The series continues to deliver unexpected turns, ensuring that the risk of elimination remains a constant threat for every housemate until the very end.
