What Is Newtopia About?
Newtopia, previously titled Influenza, offers a fresh twist on the zombie genre. The story revolves around Jae Yun, played by Park Jung Min, a young man struggling with self-doubt and career uncertainty after completing his mandatory military service. When anxiety about his future overwhelms him, he decides to break up with his girlfriend, Young Ju, played by Jisoo.
Young Ju, new to urban life and adjusting to societal norms, is blindsided by the breakup. Seeking closure, she visits Jae Yun at his workplace in a high-rise defense building. However, before they can resolve their issues, a sudden zombie outbreak traps them and others inside.
