Rapper Blueface has made headlines by restating a claim about Megan Thee Stallion during a recent interview. He suggested a personal encounter occurred in the period following the 2020 incident where she was shot by fellow artist Tory Lanez. The comments from the interview, which was shared online at the end of November, have sparked renewed discussion and criticism across social media. Megan Thee Stallion has not publicly addressed these latest statements from Blueface.
What Blueface Said In The VladTV Interview
During a conversation with DJ Vlad on VladTV, Blueface was questioned about a claim he first made in 2023 regarding Megan Thee Stallion. When asked if an alleged encounter happened after the shooting involving Tory Lanez, Blueface paused before responding.
“Yeah, I, uh… I got at her, you know?” Blueface said in the interview. He elaborated, “‘You okay? I’ll come check on you. I’ll rub your feet or something.’ I flew out to Orlando. That’s where she was at at the time. We was vibing. Fishing, swimming, and whatnot. Got a little sucky-sucky”.
When Vlad asked if Megan Thee Stallion had ever denied his story, Blueface replied, “Of course not, [she didn’t deny it]. Can’t deny the truth… I ain’t talking about no other dk, you feel me? I don’t care if he shot you or not, I’m not finna ask what happened. I’m trying to help you get over that, baby. I’m trying to help you heal”. He described his relationship with Tory Lanez as casual, limited to simple greetings.
The Backstory: The Tory Lanez Shooting Case
To understand the context of Blueface’s claim, it is necessary to recall the events of July 2020. After leaving a party at Kylie Jenner’s home, an argument occurred in a vehicle carrying Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez, and others. The situation escalated, and Megan was shot in her feet. She was taken to the hospital for surgery.
Initially, Megan told police she had cut her feet on glass. She later explained she feared the situation could worsen if she said she was shot. In August 2020, she publicly identified Tory Lanez as the shooter during an Instagram Live session.
“You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs, lying and s,”* Megan said at the time.
The legal process that followed was lengthy and played out publicly. Tory Lanez was charged with assault and weapons offenses. During the trial in late 2022, testimony revealed that Lanez yelled “Dance, b!” before firing the gun. In December 2022, a jury found Tory Lanez guilty on all charges. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison in August 2023.
