Fans hoping for a BTS full group comeback in 2025 may need to wait a bit longer. In a recent financial update, HYBE shared that BTS may not fully return as a group until 2026, despite members completing their mandatory military service in June 2025.
HYBE Discusses BTS’s Future Plans
During a third-quarter conference call on November 5, HYBE’s CFO, Lee Kyung Joon, addressed the much-anticipated comeback of the globally popular group. He explained that while the members will be able to resume activities soon after completing their military duties, official group plans are still in the works for 2026. Lee Kyung Joon stated:
“We are currently discussing full group activities in 2026 with the members.”
This suggests that, though the members will be free to return to the stage by mid-2025, a full comeback will require more planning and coordination.
Individual Activities Before Group Comeback
Following the conference call, it was clarified that Jin and J-Hope, the two members who have already completed their military service, are expected to focus on their solo projects first. This approach allows each member to reconnect with fans individually before the group gathers for a collective comeback.
HYBE’s Focus on Expanding Business Opportunities
As BTS members focus on completing their military service, HYBE aims to broaden its business model by investing in other artists and exploring new ventures. This strategy is designed to maintain the company’s growth and provide a diverse range of content for fans.
Though the wait for BTS’s group comeback may be longer than anticipated, HYBE’s statements provide insight into the thoughtful planning underway to ensure a powerful return. Fans worldwide are expected to stay tuned for more updates on each member’s journey and the group’s ultimate reunion.
