Netflix has officially announced the full cast for its upcoming action comedy “Bad Day,“ bringing together a star-studded group of actors for a film that promises laughs and excitement. The movie, which started production in October 2025, marks Cameron Diaz’s second major project with the streaming service. The story follows a single mother trying to keep a simple promise to her daughter during the most disastrous day imaginable.

“Bad Day” centers on a single mom fighting to keep one little promise to her daughter on the absolute worst day of her life. The film has been described as a comedic version of the 1993 movie Falling Down, which starred Michael Douglas.
The project brings together a talented creative team. The script was written by Laura Solon, who previously worked on Netflix’s Let It Snow and The School for Good and Evil. Directing is Jake Szymanski, known for the popular comedy series Jury Duty and the film Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Producing is Beau Bauman for Good One Productions, reuniting him with Diaz after their successful collaboration on Back in Action.
