BTS’ V, also known as Kim Taehyung, has dropped another teaser for his upcoming solo single “FRI(END)S,” and this one is full of surprises. The teaser, released by HYBE Music on March 11, 2024, is a stark contrast to the first one, showcasing chaos and a scene that has left fans worried – V lying injured on the road.

The 15-second video opens with a familiar scene – V rummaging through an empty fridge, just like in the previous teaser. But the lighthearted mood quickly vanishes. This time, instead of peaceful couples enjoying romantic moments, V finds himself surrounded by a crowd in complete disarray, throwing objects and yelling at each other.

The most shocking part of the teaser comes towards the end. A haunting melody plays in the background as V appears lying on the road, seemingly injured, with a car hovering dangerously close. Blood is visible around him, and the lyrics “Friends… just for now” add another layer of mystery to the unfolding story.

This dramatic turn of events has sent ARMY, BTS’s devoted fanbase, into a frenzy. Many fans have taken to social media to express their concern for V, with some even jokingly asking, “Can he live for once?” This isn’t the first time V has met a tragic fate on screen. Fans pointed out his character’s death in the K-drama “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth” and his role in IU’s music video “Love Wins All,” where he also suffers a similar fate.

While the teaser doesn’t reveal much about the song’s plot, it definitely sets a captivating and suspenseful tone. “FRI(END)S” is described as a pop-soul R&B track that explores the complexities of love. The song, entirely in English, promises relatable and thought-provoking lyrics, according to a press release from BigHit Music.

With teasers dropping left and right, fans are eagerly trying to piece together the story behind “FRI(END)S.” The song is scheduled for release on March 15, 2024, and it’s sure to be a global hit. However, the question remains: What exactly does the car crash symbolize in the music video, and how does it tie into the meaning of “FRI(END)S?” We’ll have to wait just a few more days to find out.

In the meantime, V, along with his fellow BTS members, is currently serving his mandatory military duty in South Korea. Their enlistment is expected to conclude in June 2025, marking the much-anticipated return of BTS to the music scene as a complete group.
