CNBLUE has responded to fan concerns by postponing their upcoming Kaohsiung and Hong Kong concerts. This decision comes after leader Jung Yonghwa‘s recent knee surgery. The band’s 2024-2025 Asia tour, ‘Voyage Into X,’ was originally scheduled to include these stops in March.

Fan Concerns and Jung Yonghwa’s Response

In January, Jung Yonghwa was diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his right knee, requiring surgery. He informed fans that he might be in a cast for up to two months. Despite this, FNC Entertainment remained silent about the tour dates, causing significant worry among fans. Jung Yonghwa‘s fans even issued a written request demanding the postponement of the concerts.

On February 7 KST, Jung Yonghwa addressed the situation directly, acknowledging the fans’ concerns. He announced the postponement of the Kaohsiung and Hong Kong shows until May.

“Hello, everyone! The weather has gotten so cold. I wanted to let you know that the shows in Kaohsiung and Hong Kong have been postponed until May. I thought I would try being a little greedy because I wanted to meet our fans as soon as possible, but the doctor concluded that I would be able to resume activities without much difficulty by April. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to join along after shouting ‘Everybody jump!’ for a while, but I believe that many BOICE will put their energy into jumping in my place. I would also like to believe that we can move your hearts just as well with our music and instruments alone. I am constantly discussing matters with the company while receiving treatment to ensure that I don’t go through any more injuries, so please do not worry. As for the condition of my knee, I am going through physical therapy and it is beginning to bend quite nicely. I feel that I am getting better day by day not because of any medical treatment, but because of your love and concerns. I’m ever grateful. I love you! To the fans in Korea, please wait a little longer and I will return with a good image some time in the future! I love you my love.”

Future Tour Dates

CNBLUE’s ‘Voyage Into X’ tour is also scheduled to visit Kobe, Japan, from April 12-13, followed by four cities in North America from April 16-27.
