โ€œBecause we painstakingly filmed the drama for nine long months, I think I became even more attached to it,โ€ Park Min Young commented. She added, โ€œI wish I could have done a better job. However, I wore a lot of different outfits and made many transformations for this role, and I think that I did everything that I could as an actress without regrets, so I feel satisfied.โ€

She also spoke directly to her character, Yoon Yi Rang, acknowledging the challenges of the role. She expressed hope for Yi Rang’s future, stating, โ€œYi Rang worked so hard. I hope that you can make a fresh start after casting aside your trauma.โ€ The actress concluded by thanking the viewers, saying, โ€œIโ€™m deeply grateful to the viewers who gave the show their love.โ€

โ€œWeโ€™re finally wrapping up a long journey of nine months that was so much fun, and even though it was challenging, it was also rewarding,โ€ Park Hee Soon remarked. โ€œBecause I played so many different characters, nine months zoomed by in the blink of an eye. A Look Back at the Confidence Queen Story

Confidence Queen is a Korean adaptation of the Japanese drama Confidence Man JP. The series, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video, followed three con artists with different backgrounds: Yoon Yi Rang, a genius with an IQ of 165; James, a veteran trickster; and Myung Gu-ho, the sincere rookie. Together, they executed elaborate scams to expose corruption among Korea’s elite and take down powerful villains, driven by a shared personal trauma from their past.

The finale wrapped up the main revenge plot against the primary antagonist, Kang Yo-seop, the businessman responsible for the childhood trauma that shaped both Yi Rang and Gu-ho’s lives. The 12-episode series was noted for its blend of crime, comedy, and emotional storytelling, with Park Min Young’s character showcasing over 30 different disguises throughout the season.

The final episode of Confidence Queen aired in Korea on TV Chosun at 10:30 p.m. KST on October 12 and is available for global audiences to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
