The latest episode of the K-drama Dynamite Kiss, titled “His Black Card,” shifts the story into high gear, moving beyond the initial romantic confusion to explore deeper themes of family and sacrifice. The episode, which released on November 20, 2025, on Netflix, balances comedic mishaps with heartfelt moments, culminating in a dramatic rescue that solidifies the male lead’s feelings.

A Chaotic Chase and a Growing Connection

The episode picks up right after Gong Ji-hyuk saved Go Da-rim from drowning in a pool as she tried to retrieve a report he had thrown in the water. Feeling guilty, he offers her a ride home, and during the trip, he gives her practical advice on how to improve her project presentation. This quiet moment in the car shows a softer side of Ji-hyuk as he starts to see Da-rim’s dedication.

The tension escalates when Da-rim arrives home only to be confronted by loan sharks demanding payment for her sister’s debts. In a moment of quick thinking, she pretends not to be herself, but her plan falls apart when Ji-hyuk returns to give her the phone she left in his car, calling out her name and revealing her identity. This triggers a frantic chase through alleyways, forcing Ji-hyuk and Da-rim to hide together in a small, enclosed storage closet. The close proximity reignites their spark, but the moment is broken when Kim Seon-u, Da-rim’s best friend who is pretending to be her husband, finds them. Ji-hyuk is left watching, dejected, as Seon-u carries Da-rim away.

Shared Burdens and a Hospital Truce

At work, Da-rim successfully revises the report based on Ji-hyuk’s feedback, but the rest of the Mother TF team continues to view him as an irresponsible leader. The plot deepens when both Ji-hyuk and Da-rim end up at the same hospital visiting their mothers.

Through a flashback, we learn the source of Ji-hyuk’s protectiveness toward his mother. His father had an affair and later brought his daughter from that relationship, Director Gong Ji-hye, into their home. This betrayal caused his mother severe psychological trauma, leading to suicide attempts that young Ji-hyuk witnessed. This history has shaped his view on love and his desire to protect his mother.

In the hospital hallway, Da-rim opens up about her own family struggles, explaining how her sister’s debt caused her mother to suffer a heart attack. They bond over their shared role as protectors of their mothers. This heartfelt conversation leads to a truce, with Ji-hyuk agreeing to take the team of hardworking mothers more seriously. They also mutually, and somewhat regretfully, agree to forget their dynamite kiss and move on.

A Disastrous Live Broadcast and a Sabotaged Demo

The central challenge of the episode is a live selling event forced upon the Mother TF team by Ji-hyuk’s half-sister, who wants the team to fail. Before the broadcast, Ji-hyuk and Da-rim are tasked with shopping for supplies and a giveaway prize. At a baby store, they are mistaken for a married couple and enter a contest to win a popular, sold-out baby formula maker.

The couple’s game leads to another accidental kiss when a piece of paper they are passing mouth-to-mouth slips away. Although they lose the game, Ji-hyuk later uses his black card to buy the prize from the winning couple, wanting to see Da-rim happy.

The live broadcast itself descends into chaos. Two of the team members have to leave due to emergencies, forcing Da-rim and a young mother, Go-eun, to host. Go-eun gives an emotional speech about being a widowed single mother and how the company’s diapers supported her, but she becomes too overwhelmed and has to leave the set. Da-rim is left to conduct a diaper demonstration alone. Despite her inexperience, she performs well, but the diaper leaks because it was secretly sabotaged by a rival employee. Just as Da-rim is being blamed for the failure, Ji-hyok steps in to defend her, telling the saboteur that she is his responsibility.

A Dramatic Rescue and a Black Card Finale

The episode’s climax occurs as Da-rim heads home after the stressful day. The loan sharks, angry that she reported them to the police, kidnap her. They threaten to sell her organs if she cannot pay her debts. As Da-rim fears for her life, Ji-hyuk kicks down the door to the abandoned building in a dramatic entrance. He confronts the criminals and holds up his black card, demanding to know how much he needs to pay to save her.

The episode ends on this cliffhanger, with Ji-hyok proving he is willing to use his wealth and position to protect Da-rim, signaling a significant shift in their relationship.
