Eric Dane is making headlines for his tangled love life while battling ALS. The Grey’s Anatomy star is currently linked to three women—his estranged wife Rebecca Gayheart, filmmaker Janell Shirtcliff, and actress Priya Jain. The situation has sparked confusion and drama as details emerge about his relationships.

Dane revealed his ALS diagnosis in April 2025. The disease affects nerve cells, causing muscle weakness over time. Despite his health struggles, his personal life remains in the spotlight. He has been open about relying on Gayheart for support, even as he appears romantically involved with others.

Rebecca Gayheart filed for divorce in 2018 but dismissed it in March 2025. The couple shares two daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13. Gayheart called their marriage a success despite their separation. She said they remain close friends and co-parents.

“We are best of friends. We are really close. We are great co-parents. We really figured out the formula to staying a family,” Gayheart told E! News.

Meanwhile, Dane made a red carpet debut with Janell Shirtcliff at his show Countdown in June 2025. Sources say they have been in an on-and-off relationship for three years. Shirtcliff, a filmmaker, has directed projects like Habit and worked with Katy Perry.

“Eric asked Janell to be there for him during this time, and she wanted to show up for him,” a source told Entertainment Tonight.

But another woman, Priya Jain, claims she was blindsided by Dane’s public appearance with Shirtcliff. Jain, 27, reportedly started dating Dane in 2024 and became exclusive with him in November. They have matching tattoos and spent most nights together.

“They never broke up,” a source told Page Six. “Priya was devastated by the ALS diagnosis but stood by him.”

Dane’s love life mirrors past controversies. In 2009, a video surfaced of him, Gayheart, and another woman in a bathtub. He later said they were just bathing and not breaking any laws.

Despite the drama, Dane remains focused on his health and family. He told Good Morning America that Gayheart is his biggest supporter.

“I call Rebecca. I talk to her every day. We have managed to become better friends and better parents. She is probably my biggest champion,” he said.

With ALS progressing, Dane is prioritizing time with his daughters. He has lost function in his right arm and fears his left arm may weaken soon. Still, he remains hopeful about treatment options.
