EXO’s Suho, along with SHINee’s Minho and TVXQ’s Changmin, made his first visit to India as part of the South Korean variety show Exciting India. This journey, which aired on SBS, took these K-pop stars to the vibrant and culturally rich country, where they experienced a series of unique and unforgettable moments.
Exploring India: An Adventure with Fellow K-pop Stars
Suho, born Kim Junmyeon, was not alone on this journey. He was accompanied by fellow SM Entertainment artists, including SHINee’s Minho, TVXQ’s Changmin, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, INFINITE’s Sungkyu, and CN Blue’s Jonghyun. Together, they embarked on an exploration of India, immersing themselves in the local culture, visiting famous landmarks, and sampling the diverse cuisine the country has to offer.
One of the most memorable moments during their trip occurred at the Gateway of India. Suho was approached by an Indian man who, unaware of Suho’s celebrity status, asked him to take a photo. Suho, ever humble and obliging, not only took the photo but ensured it was perfect, much to the amusement of Minho, who playfully teased him about the incident.
Fast forward several years, Suho is set to return to India, this time as a solo artist. He will be performing at the K-Wave Festival in Mumbai on October 18, 2024, and in Bangalore on October 20, 2024. This marks a significant milestone in Suho’s career, as it will be his first solo performance in India. Indian EXO-Ls (EXO fans) are eagerly anticipating his return and are excited to see him perform live.
Suho debuted as the leader of EXO in 2012. He made his solo debut on March 30, 2020, with his extended play titled Self-Portrait. Following his mandatory military enlistment, Suho released his second solo album, Grey Suit, in 2023. In 2024, he made his third solo comeback with the release of albums 1 to 3, featuring the title track of the same name.
In addition to his musical career, Suho has also ventured into acting. His notable works include One Way Trip, The Universe’s Star, Rich Man, Middle School Girl A, and How Are U Bread. Most recently, he appeared in the K-drama Behind Your Touch in 2023 and starred in the historical series Missing Crown Prince in 2024.
