“A Tyrant’s Chef” tells the story of Yeon Ji Yeong (YoonA), a talented French chef. On the day she wins a prestigious cooking competition in France, she is transported to the Joseon Dynasty. Instead of running a Michelin 3-star bistro, she finds herself cooking fusion royal cuisine for the tyrannical King Lee Heon (Lee Chae Min).
King Lee Heon, known for his highly sensitive palate, becomes enamored with Ji Yeong’s food, granting her access to the palace. The story also involves rising tensions as Kang Mok Ju (Kang Han Na), the king’s concubine, schemes for power. Additionally, Prince Je Seon, a cruel rival, aims to overthrow the king, adding another layer of conflict to the narrative.
