“Han So Hee’s Relationship Timeline: A Mismatch of Facts?”
Actress Han So Hee’s comments about her boyfriend, Ryu Jun Yeol’s breakup timeline have sparked controversy. The actress’s statements seem to clash with the official announcements made last year about Ryu Jun Yeol’s relationship status.
Han So Hee recently acknowledged her relationship with Ryu Jun Yeol on her blog. In a now-deleted reply to a netizen’s comment, she stated that she had based her understanding of Ryu Jun Yeol’s breakup timeline on an article published in June of the previous year.
She wrote, “I did not learn about his breakup period privately but wrote about the timeline based on an article published last year in June. If revealing this was rude of me, then I will delete that information. I think it was discourtesy on my part while trying to provide more evidence that there wasn’t any overlap.”
However, observers have pointed out that Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri officially announced their breakup in November of the previous year. There were no articles from June supporting Han So Hee’s claim, except for one discussing Hyeri’s comments on a variety program about her sparse KakaoTalk messages.
In June, Hyeri mentioned on ‘HMLYCP’ that she “rarely receives KakaoTalk messages from anyone,” sometimes “going a whole day without receiving a single message.” The article reported on these statements from the variety program in relation to her relationship with Ryu Jun Yeol, but no other points were made regarding their relationship status.
Moreover, in her earlier response to the dating news on her blog, Han So Hee had written that she “was told he became single in early 2023 and the breakup article was published in November,” which further revealed a mismatch between her more recent comment stating that she based her knowledge on the breakup articles in June.
In light of this mismatch, a portion of netizens criticized Han So Hee for potentially “predicting their breakup period” and “publicly revealing a couple’s actual breakup timeline.” Netizens also expressed confusion toward her statement that she “did not receive the information from a private source,” such as Ryu Jun Yeol himself, and “based it on media articles.”
Reactions include:
- “Why couldn’t she just ask Ryu Jun Yeol about the exact timeline regarding when he and Hyeri actually broke up?”
- “I hope people just leave her alone. I think she could have been confused”
- “If it isn’t true that the two did not break up in early 2023, then I understand Hyeri for feeling cheated”
- “I think everyone’s starting to lose faith now though because she keeps changing her words”
- “I think the most important thing right now for Han So Hee is to take care of her mental health”
- “They announced that there wasn’t an overlap and she keeps affirming that, so why are people still going overboard about this?”
- “It’s possible that she was just confused”
- I’m just sad about this situation.
Just don’t do anything.
This incident has once again highlighted the importance of accuracy and transparency when discussing personal matters in the public domain. As the story unfolds, fans and observers alike hope for clarity and wish the best for all parties involved.
