BTS member Kim Taehyung, also known as V, is about to celebrate his 29th birthday on December 30th. His fans, known as ARMY, have organized a special project to celebrate his birthday while he serves in the military. They have put up over 70 banners near his military base.
Fan Projects for V’s Birthday
Global and Korean fan communities have joined forces to create this special birthday celebration for V. The project includes:
- More than 50 streetlight banners put up by BT V UNION and V INSIDE fanbases.
- An additional 20 tarpaulins displayed by NUNA V and KTH Supporters.
These banners are located near the Ssangyong Unit area and around the SDT (Special Duty Team) barracks in Chuncehon City, where V is currently serving his military duty.
Messages on the Banners
The banners feature heartfelt birthday wishes for V, including:
- “Miracle of Winter V”
- “Happy V Day”
- “Happy Birthday, winter boy”
ARMY strategically placed the banners along the street so V and his fellow soldiers will see them during their morning routines.

V’s Activities in 2024
V, born on December 30, 1995, has had a successful year in 2024 with solo releases:
- He started the year with his single FRI(END)S in early March. The song was a hit, performing well on music charts and gaining many streams.
- In late November, he released Winter Ahead, a collaboration with balladeer Park Hyo Shin.
- Shortly after, he released White Christmas, a virtual collaboration with the late jazz icon Bing Crosby.
