The world of HBOโs Industry is getting bigger and bolder. With the fictional investment bank Pierpoint & Co. now gone, the show’s fourth season expands into new, dangerous territory. A wave of new actors is joining the established cast, promising fresh conflicts and higher stakes in the cutthroat world of finance. The season starts on January 11, 2026.
This mix of familiar and new characters moves the story beyond the trading floor into areas like tech startups, politics, and media. The core drama still revolves around the twisted friendship between Harper Stern and Yasmin Kara-Hanani, but now they are playing a much larger game.
All Returning Cast Members for Industry Season 4
Most of the show’s main characters are back for the new season, navigating their careers after the collapse of Pierpoint.
- Myha’la returns as Harper Stern, the ambitious and ruthless American graduate. Free from corporate rules, she is now maneuvering to dominate the financial world on her own terms.
- Marisa Abela is back as Yasmin Kara-Hanani. Now engaged to tech founder Henry Muck, she is navigating a rarefied world of extreme wealth and political influence.
- Kit Harington returns as Sir Henry Muck and has been promoted to a series regular. His character, an Elon Musk-inspired tech founder, is deeply entangled with the new fintech company at the season’s center.
- Ken Leung reprises his role as Eric Tao, Harper’s former boss and sometimes mentor. With Pierpoint gone, his next move is a key part of the new season.
- Other returning cast members include Sagar Radia as the foul-mouthed Rishi Ramdani, Miriam Petche as Sweetpea Golightly, and Roger Barclay as financier Otto Mostyn. Andrew Havill (Lord Norton), Tom Stourton (James Ashford), Fiona Button (Denise Oldroyd), Irfan Shamji (Anraj Chabra), and Edward Holcroft (Sebastian Stefanowicz) are also confirmed to return.
One major character will not be back. Harry Lawtey, who played Robert, has exited the series. The actor stated that both he and the show’s writers felt Robert’s story had reached a natural conclusion with the end of the previous season.
Meet the New Cast Members Joining Industry Season 4
The fourth season introduces a large group of new characters, each pulling the story into a different powerful sector like tech, politics, and journalism.
- Max Minghella joins as Whitney Halberstram, the enigmatic CFO and founder of a payment processor company called Tender. Minghella describes Whitney as a “tornado of cutthroat ambition”. His character has a complex and combustible relationship with Kit Harington’s Henry Muck.
- Kiernan Shipka plays Haley Clay, an executive assistant at Tender. Shipka calls her a “wild character” who is “absolutely fearless” and wears many masks.
- Kal Penn is Jay Jonah Atterbury, the charismatic and chaotic CEO and co-founder of Tender. He is described as the volatile, party-animal counterpart to Minghella’s more controlled Whitney.
- Charlie Heaton portrays Jim Dycker, a financial journalist with a damaged reputation who is determined to claw back his credibility by any means necessary.
- Toheeb Jimoh plays Kwabena Bannerman, a confident and charming trader at Mostyn Asset Management. He acts as a philosophical foil to Harper’s intense drive.
- Amy James-Kelly is Jennifer ‘Jenni’ Bevan, a newly promoted Minister in the Labour government. Her storyline involves going head-to-head with Henry Muck, pulling the show directly into the political arena.
- Claire Forlani appears as Cordelia Hanani-Spyrka, a corporate public relations expert brought in to manage crises.
- Additional new cast includes Jack Farthing as Edward Smith, a troublemaking friend of Henry Muck.
What Industry Season 4 Is About
The new season picks up after the explosive end of season three, which saw Pierpoint sold and its London office shut down. The story is now centered on a “splashy fintech darling” called Tender, which bursts onto the London scene.
Harper and Yasmin are drawn into a “high-stakes, globetrotting cat-and-mouse game”. Harper is pulled into the orbit of Tender’s executive, Whitney Halberstram, while Yasmin navigates her engaged life with Henry Muck, who is now deeply connected to the same tech world. This pressure warps their already complicated friendship.
The show’s creators, Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, have said the new season blends genres like investigative thriller and conspiracy drama, exploring capitalism’s reach “beyond the investment floor”. The production designer described the new Tender set as having “an edge of danger”.
โBut I honestly think thereโs no point in doing anything if youโre not going to take a risk,โ said co-creator Mickey Down. โIโm sure some people will be like, โWhat the f**k are they doing? Itโs supposed to be set in a bank!โ But this show is whatever the f**k we want it to be.โ
