Janhvi Kapoor Replaces Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita Opposite Ranbir Kapoor

Loading

Reports swirling around the highly anticipated Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana suggest a major shakeup in the cast as Janhvi Kapoor is rumored to replace Sai Pallavi in the role of Goddess Sita. Tiwari’s magnum opus has been garnering attention ever since its announcement, with fans eagerly awaiting the cinematic rendition of the timeless epic.

Initially, it was Sai Pallavi who was set to portray Goddess Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor’s Lord Ram. However, recent speculations hint at Kapoor stepping into the coveted role, marking a significant change in the casting dynamics. While there hasn’t been an official confirmation from the makers yet, reports suggest that Tiwari, having previously worked with Kapoor in “Bawaal,” believes she embodies the essence of the character.

Meanwhile, preparations for the film are in full swing, with Ranbir Kapoor gearing up to step into the shoes of Lord Ram. Sources reveal that the shooting will commence soon, with Mumbai serving as the primary location for the initial schedule. Ranbir, committed to delivering his best portrayal, has reportedly made lifestyle adjustments, foregoing alcohol, non-vegetarian food, and late-night revelries to prepare for the iconic role.

Adding to the excitement, veteran actor Sunny Deol has been cast to portray Lord Hanuman, infusing the project with his trademark vigor and strength. Deol’s inclusion adds another layer of anticipation to the epic saga, with fans eagerly awaiting his portrayal of the revered character.

As the casting puzzle takes shape, with Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana, and Deol as Hanuman, anticipation continues to mount for the epic trilogy. Additionally, discussions are underway with acclaimed actor Vijay Sethupathi for the pivotal role of Vibhishana, further raising expectations for the cinematic masterpiece.

Beyond his involvement in Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor’s professional slate remains packed with exciting projects, including Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Love & War,” where he is set to explore a character with shades of grey, alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
