Nine women have accused actor and musician Jared Leto of sexual misconduct, with some claiming the incidents happened when they were underage. A new report by Air Mail details these allegations, which span over a decade. Leto’s representatives have strongly denied all claims.
The report includes interviews with women who say Leto behaved inappropriately with them when they were teenagers. One woman, Laura La Rue, said she met Leto in 2008 when she was 16. She claims he asked for her number despite knowing her age and later appeared nude in front of her when she was 17.
“He just walked out, d–k out, like it was normal… I thought maybe this was just what adult men do,” La Rue told Air Mail.
Leto’s team denied her claims, saying their communication was never inappropriate. They also stated La Rue later applied to work as his assistant, which she denies.
Another woman said she was 16 when Leto approached her at a Los Angeles café. She claims he later called her late at night with a disturbing voice and asked explicit questions. His representatives responded by saying Leto has been sober for over 35 years.
A third accuser said Leto exposed himself and forced her hand on him when she was 18. She also claimed his parties in the 2000s encouraged skinny-dipping. Leto’s team called these claims false, and a party organizer said he never saw such behavior.
The allegations gained attention after DJ Allie Teilz reposted a 2012 Facebook post accusing Leto of assaulting her when she was 17. Over 50 women reportedly shared similar experiences after her post. Leto’s representatives called her claims “demonstrably false.”
Past social media posts about Leto’s behavior have also resurfaced. In 2018, director James Gunn commented on Leto allegedly pursuing young women. Gunn later deleted the post, calling it an “Ambien-fueled” mistake.
No legal action has been taken against Leto so far. His team continues to deny all allegations. The actor, known for films like Dallas Buyers Club and Suicide Squad, has not publicly addressed the claims.
