Rapper Kid Cudi told a federal court that Sean “Diddy” Combs broke into his Hollywood Hills home in 2011 after discovering he was dating Cassie Ventura. The shocking testimony came during Diddyโ€™s sex trafficking trial in New York. Kid Cudi described the break-in, a car fire, and threats linked to his brief relationship with Ventura.

Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, said Ventura called him early one morning in December 2011. She sounded scared and warned him that Diddy knew about their relationship. She also revealed she had given Diddy Mescudiโ€™s home address. Soon after, one of Venturaโ€™s associates called to say Diddy was inside his house.

“I said, motherfucker, you in my house?” Mescudi recalled asking Combs over the phone. Diddy calmly replied, “I just want to talk to you.” When Kid Cudi arrived home, no one was there, but his Christmas gifts were opened, and his dog was locked in a bathroom. He reported the break-in to police but found no forced entry or property damage.

A few weeks later, Kid Cudiโ€™s Porsche 911 was set on fire in his driveway. His dog sitter called him at 6:30 AM to report the blaze. Photos shown in court revealed a Molotov cocktail had been placed inside the car after someone cut open its roof. Ventura had previously testified that Diddy threatened to blow up Kid Cudiโ€™s car if he kept seeing her.

Kid Cudi met Diddy the next day at Soho House in Los Angeles. He asked about his burned car, but Diddy denied involvement, saying, “I donโ€™t know what youโ€™re talking about.” Mescudi told the court, “He was lying.” Years later, Diddy unexpectedly apologized, saying, “Man, I just want to apologize for everything and all that bullsht.”*

The rapper ended his relationship with Ventura shortly after the incidents, saying, “I knew Sean Combs was violent.” He also testified that Ventura was living a “double life” by secretly seeing him while still involved with Diddy. Defense lawyers used this to question Venturaโ€™s credibility as a key witness in the trial.

Diddy faces charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and coercion. Prosecutors say he ran a criminal enterprise involving violent threats and drug-fueled parties. He denies all charges, claiming relationships were consensual. The trial continues with more witnesses expected next week.
