The December 13, 2025 holiday special of Love & Marriage: Huntsville swapped the show’s usual drama for festive fun. Host Carlos King led the cast through a night of Christmas-themed games designed to test how well they know each other. The episode featured team trivia, couple’s challenges, and an ugly sweater contest, creating a lighter atmosphere for the group.

Episode overview and festive game night

The episode, which aired on the OWN network, was structured as a festive game night. Carlos King set the tone from the start, stating the night would focus on fun and games without the typical conflict. He even joked that he should be called “Carlos Claus” for the evening. The cast participated in several activities, including Match Made in Huntsville, Yuletide Yum, and the Huntsville Head to Head Trivia game.

The official description for the episode read: “Host Carlos King and the cast celebrate the holidays with a festive game night; they have Christmas-inspired fun and go head-to-head to see how well they know their friends and partners before the men compete in an ugly Christmas sweater contest”.

Team trivia: Men versus women

A major segment of the episode was the Huntsville Head to Head Trivia game, where the cast split into teams of men versus women. Nell served as captain for the women’s team, while Marsau Scott led the men. Carlos King explained the rules, stating he would ask questions about the group and each captain would provide their team’s answer.

The questions revealed the cast’s perceptions of each other and often resulted in ties:

  • First Question: “Who is most likely to start the most mess and spill the most tea? Is it Martell, Tisha or Marsau?” Both teams correctly guessed Martell. Martell humorously accepted the title, saying, “Anytime. Everytime”.
  • Second Question: “Who is most likely to show up at a party with a new date on their arm? Your options are Tisha, Ken or Destiny”. Both teams chose Destiny, who confirmed the answer by stating, “I am the only single one”.
  • Third Question: “Who is most likely to regift a present and pass it along as new?” Both teams selected Marsau and Tisha, creating another tie.
  • Fourth Question: “Who is most likely to spike the eggnog? Tisha, Nell or Martell?” Both teams guessed Tisha, but the correct answer was Nell.

With the game tied, Carlos King posed a final tiebreaker question: “How many blended families do we have on the show?” Both teams answered four. He declared everyone a winner, noting, “You guys really do know each other very well”.

Couple challenges and personal moments

The night also included games for the couples. In Match Made in Huntsville, partners had to guess each other’s answers to questions. One question asked, “Who is more likely to get busted telling a half truth?” Ken and Latricia both said the answer would be Latricia, while Latisha and Marsau lost the round by saying each other’s names.

The Yuletide Yum game required couples to move gingerbread cookies from one plate to another using only their mouths. Destiny and Martell oversaw the game to ensure no one cheated. Kimmi and Maurice were announced as the winners.

Their victory led to a personal story. Carlos King congratulated them on their recent engagement, and Kimmi shared how Maurice proposed. She said it happened during a normal Christmas while they were playing cards. Maurice was fumbling and dropping cards to distract her.

โ€œWhen I looked down, he had dropped the queen of diamonds,โ€ Kimmi recounted.

A gift for the host and streaming information

The festive episode concluded on a warm note. The cast members presented Carlos King with a gift as a token of their appreciation: a king’s crown. Marsau Scott presented it, saying, “On behalf of the Love & Marriage: Huntsville groupโ€ฆ it would not be a Christmas celebration without the person that put all this stuff together. We thank you so much”.

Touched by the gesture, Carlos King addressed the cast:

โ€œI have enjoyed tonight so much. At the end of the day, this family means the world to me. Each and every one of you is a gift to me. Lot of love for you guysโ€.
