Wednesday Season 3 is bringing the whole Addams clan together. Luis Guzmán, who plays Gomez Addams, shared that fans can expect a major family reunion when the Netflix horror series returns. The show is currently filming in Ireland, and the cast is growing with some big names joining the fun.

The third season of Wednesday started production in February 2026 near Dublin. Netflix renewed the show for another season back in July 2025, even before the second season came out. This shows how much confidence the streaming platform has in the Jenna Ortega-led series.

Luis Guzmán Teases Family Reunion Details

Luis Guzmán spoke with ScreenRant about what is coming in the new season. He did not hold back on the good news for Addams Family lovers.

“Yeah, it’s a bit of a family reunion going on. We have great guest stars coming in.” – Luis Guzmán to ScreenRant

The actor also talked about how special it feels to play Gomez Addams. He shared his surprise at being part of this world that has been around for so many generations.

“I pinch myself every day. I would never in ten lifetimes have imagined I’d be Gomez Addams, but here it is. I love working with Tim Burton, my writers, my cast, my crew. I love the response from audiences and fans.”

Guzmán pointed out that the Addams Family started as a simple comic strip. It then became cartoons, a black and white TV show, movies, and now this Netflix series. He feels lucky to be part of something that has lasted through so many changes.

Big Name Guest Stars Joining the Cast

Wednesday Season 3 has announced several exciting additions to its lineup. The biggest names include Lena Headey from Game of Thrones, Winona Ryder from Stranger Things, and Eva Green from Penny Dreadful.

Lena Headey, famous for playing Cersei Lannister, joins as a guest star. Andrew McCarthy and James Lance from Ted Lasso are also coming on board. Their roles remain a secret for now, but fans are already excited to see them in this dark and funny world.

The new cast members for Wednesday Season 3 include:

  • Eva Green as Aunt Ophelia, Morticia’s sister
  • Winona Ryder as a character named Tabitha
  • Chris Sarandon as Cousin Balthazar
  • Noah Taylor as Cyrus
  • Oscar Morgan as Atticus
  • Kennedy Moyer as Daisy

Tim Burton, who directs and produces the show, shared his excitement about working with old friends again. He said, “The addition of some dear friends and past collaborators of mine — Winona, Eva, Chris, Noah … makes this season extra special.”

Winona Ryder and Jenna Ortega worked together recently on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Now they reunite on Wednesday Season 3, which makes perfect sense given Burton’s history with both actors.

What Happened at the End of Season 2

The second season of Wednesday ended with several big moments that set up this family reunion. Wednesday Addams lost her psychic powers and faced danger from multiple sides. She saved her brother Pugsley from becoming a victim.

The biggest reveal came when Wednesday had a vision showing that her Aunt Ophelia is still alive. Someone is keeping her captive, and the situation looks bad for Wednesday. At the very end of Season 2, Wednesday started her journey to find Enid, her best friend who turned into an Alpha werewolf to save Wednesday’s life.

Showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar have said that season three will dig deeper into the Addams family. They want to uncover family secrets that have been buried for a long time.

Returning Cast Members

Many familiar faces are coming back for Wednesday Season 3. Jenna Ortega returns as the lead character. Catherine Zeta-Jones is back as Morticia Addams. Emma Myers returns as Enid Sinclair.

Other returning cast members include:

  • Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin
  • Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay
  • Moosa Mostafa as Eugene Ottinger
  • Georgie Farmer as Ajax Petropolus
  • Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams
  • Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester

Thing, the sentient hand, will also return. Victor Dorobantu plays this fan-favorite character.

When Will Wednesday Season 3 Release

Wednesday Season 3 does not have a release date yet. The show is currently filming in Ireland, and production will take several months. Since the show started filming in February 2026, fans should expect the new season to come out in 2027.

Netflix did not include Wednesday Season 3 in their 2026 TV lineup announcement. This confirms that the show will not arrive this year. The first season came out in 2022, and the second season arrived in 2025. The gap between seasons has been long because the show has high production values and a complicated shooting schedule.

The third season will stream only on Netflix when it does release. Fans in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and India will all get the show on the same day, as Netflix usually does for their big original series.

The first two seasons of Wednesday are available to watch on Netflix right now. Season one holds the record as Netflix’s most popular English-language show of all time.
