Apple TV confirmed the global premiere date and released first-look photos for its new series, Margo’s Got Money Troubles. The show, featuring Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nick Offerman as a family, will begin streaming in April 2026.
Produced by A24 and created by veteran showrunner David E. Kelley, the series adapts Rufi Thorpe’s bestselling novel. It tells the story of a young woman who turns to unconventional methods to support her newborn baby. The project brings together a famous cast and marks the first on-screen collaboration between Pfeiffer and her husband, David E. Kelley.
What the New Series Is About
Margo’s Got Money Troubles is described as a family drama with comedic elements. The story centers on Margo Millet (Elle Fanning), a recent college dropout and aspiring writer. After an affair with her college professor leaves her pregnant, Margo faces the challenge of raising a newborn while dealing with growing bills and few options to pay them.
To make money quickly, Margo starts an account on the content platform OnlyFans. Her journey gets a boost when her estranged father, Jinx (Nick Offerman), reappears. Jinx is a former professional wrestler, and he uses wisdom from his past career to help Margo create a successful online character. Her mother is Shyanne (Michelle Pfeiffer), a former waitress.
โThis is not a story about playing it safe,โ Apple TV stated in a social media post announcing the first look.
The show aims to explore modern survival, the compromises people make, and the sometimes unconventional paths taken to get by.
