Marvel fans have a lot to look forward to in the next few years, as Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment have announced their upcoming slate of movies that will expand the Multiverse Saga in Phases 5 and 6. From new heroes and villains to crossover events and surprises, here is everything you need to know about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.

Deadpool & Wolverine – July 26, 2024
The first and only Marvel movie scheduled for release in 2024 is Deadpool & Wolverine, which will reunite Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as the fan-favorite characters from Fox’s X-Men franchise.
The movie, which will be Marvel Studios’ first R-rated project, will bring together characters from previous Deadpool films, such as Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, and Briana Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead. It will also introduce new faces, such as Matthew Macfadyen as Mister Sinister, Emma Corrin as Lady Deathstrike, and Shioli Kutsuna as Surge.
The movie will be directed by Shawn Levy, who previously worked with Reynolds on Free Guy. The plot is still under wraps, but the Deadpool 3 trailer revealed that the movie will involve time travel, multiverse shenanigans, and a lot of humor and action.
Kraven The Hunter – August 30, 2024
Sony’s Spider-Man Universe will continue to spotlight Spider-Man villains, with the next one being Kraven The Hunter, based on the comic book character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
The movie will star Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Sergei Kravinoff, a ruthless big-game hunter who becomes obsessed with hunting down Spider-Man. The movie will also feature Jodie Comer as Calypso, Kraven’s lover and ally, and Jared Leto as Morbius, the living vampire who made his debut in the 2023 film of the same name.
The movie will be directed by J.C. Chandor, who previously helmed Triple Frontier and A Most Violent Year. The movie will explore Kraven’s origin story, his relationship with his half-brother Chameleon, and his involvement in the Sinister Six, a team of Spider-Man’s enemies.
Captain America: Brave New World – February 14, 2025
The first Marvel movie of 2025 will be Captain America: Brave New World, which will follow the adventures of Sam Wilson, a.k.a. the new Captain America, after the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Avengers: Endgame.
The movie will star Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, a.k.a. the Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, a.k.a. the Power Broker, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker, a.k.a. U.S. Agent. The movie will also introduce new characters, such as Elijah Richardson as Eli Bradley, a.k.a. Patriot, the grandson of Isaiah Bradley, the first Black Captain America, and Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, a.k.a. the new Black Widow, who made her debut in the 2021 film Black Widow.
The movie will be directed by Kari Skogland, who also directed The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The movie will deal with the themes of legacy, identity, and patriotism, as Sam Wilson faces new threats and challenges as the leader of the Avengers.
Thunderbolts – May 2, 2025
The second Marvel movie of 2025 will be Thunderbolts, which will introduce a new team of anti-heroes to the MCU. The movie will star Daniel Brühl as Helmut Zemo, a.k.a. Baron Zemo, the mastermind behind the Thunderbolts, a group of former villains who pretend to be heroes for their own agenda.
The movie will also feature Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow, a.k.a. Crossbones, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky, a.k.a. Abomination, Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, a.k.a. Jigsaw, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, a.k.a. Hawkeye, and Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, a.k.a. Black Widow. The movie will be directed by David Leitch, who previously directed Deadpool 2 and Hobbs & Shaw.
The movie will explore the moral ambiguity and complexity of the Thunderbolts, as they clash with the Avengers and other heroes, while also facing a mysterious enemy from their past.
The Fantastic Four – July 25, 2025
The third Marvel movie of 2025 will be The Fantastic Four, which will mark the debut of Marvel’s first family in the MCU. The movie will star John Krasinski as Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mister Fantastic, the leader of the Fantastic Four and a brilliant scientist, Emily Blunt as Sue Storm, a.k.a. Invisible Woman, Reed’s wife and a powerful force field manipulator, Zac Efron as Johnny Storm, a.k.a. Human Torch, Sue’s brother and a hot-headed flame projector, and John Cena as Ben Grimm, a.k.a. The Thing, Reed’s best friend and a super-strong rock-like creature.
The movie will also feature Giancarlo Esposito as Victor Von Doom, a.k.a. Doctor Doom, the arch-enemy of the Fantastic Four and the ruler of Latveria, and Kumail Nanjiani as Harvey Elder, a.k.a. Mole Man, the leader of the subterranean Moloids. The movie will be directed by Jon Watts, who previously directed the Spider-Man trilogy in the MCU.
The movie will tell the origin story of the Fantastic Four, as they gain their powers from a cosmic radiation accident, and face the threats of Doctor Doom and Mole Man, while also discovering the secrets of the multiverse.
Blade – November 7, 2025
The fourth and final Marvel movie of 2025 will be Blade, which will reboot the vampire-hunting franchise in the MCU. The movie will star Mahershala Ali as Eric Brooks, a.k.a. Blade, a half-human, half-vampire hybrid who uses his skills and weapons to fight against the undead.
The movie will also feature Naomie Harris as Safron Caulder, a.k.a. Night Nurse, a doctor who helps Blade and other supernatural beings, and Wesley Snipes as Jamal Afari, Blade’s mentor and former vampire hunter. The movie will be directed by Bassam Tariq, who previously directed Mogul Mowgli.
The movie will explore the dark and gritty side of the MCU, as Blade battles against various vampires, such as Deacon Frost, Dracula, and Morbius, while also uncovering a conspiracy that threatens the balance between humans and vampires.
