Mike’s plan involved using Lamar, the soldier who killed Frank’s right-hand man LJ, as bait. He intended for Frank to take revenge on Lamar, giving the police a reason to arrest Frank. The scheme worked in partโFrank killed Lamar and was taken into custody, leading to Kyle’s release. However, Kyle remains in a deep depression, struggling with the death of his wife, Tracy, and relying on pain pills.
Meanwhile, chaos erupted inside the prison. A disturbed corrections officer, Will Breen, snapped under pressure and went on a shooting spree in the AdSeg unit. He was stopped by officer Cindy, who shot him before he could harm Kyle. This violent outburst highlighted the deteriorating control under Warden Nina Hobbs, whose authority has weakened significantly this season.
The episode ended with Mike, Kyle, Ian, and Stevie being ambushed by masked gunmen at a diner. The attackers, who appear to be from Frank Moses’s Detroit crew, opened fire, leaving the fate of the main characters unknown as the screen cut to black.
