MobLand Season 2 arrived on Paramount+ on September 18, 2026, with Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren back at the center of a crime family that has stopped pretending it is on the same side. Across the first five episodes, the Harrigans face a coordinated attack from outside, a slow-moving betrayal from inside, and a patriarch whose grip on his own mind is slipping. Harry Da Souza spends most of these five hours doing what he always does — cleaning up other people’s mistakes — but this time the mistakes keep coming from the people he is trying to save.
Episode 1: A Dog Track Massacre and a Marriage Ends
The season opener, “I Wanna Be Your Dog,” starts with Conrad Harrigan and Maeve Harrigan meeting Turkish crime boss Gakbu Ruzgar at a dog track to finalize a heroin deal. The meeting turns into a shootout. Conrad takes a bullet, and several men are left dead. Harry Da Souza is called in to clean up the mess.
The betrayal behind the shootout comes from inside the family. Kevin Harrigan had gone behind his father’s back and approached Gakbu with his own offer, making the Turkish boss believe Conrad was old news and Kevin was the safer partner. Conrad’s response is direct: he and Maeve wipe out Gakbu’s crew and set Harry to work on the fallout.
Harry’s personal life collapses in the same hour. Jan Da Souza sends him divorce papers after years of watching him choose the Harrigans over his own family. “I know what it’d mean to stay: losing myself, seeing Gina carry the weight of a father she can’t respect,” Jan tells him. Harry’s daughter Gina has already left home, and Jan’s decision closes another door.
The episode ends with Harry laying out the situation to the family in plain terms:
“The war with Richie, Archie, Brendan, Ohara. Eddie: AWOL. Seraphina: alienated. Kevin and Conrad on the brink of civil war. This family is in a death spiral.” — Harry Da Souza, as quoted by Esquire
Kat McAllister, the American power player who tried to recruit Harry in Season 1, is revealed to be the newly appointed U.S. ambassador to London. She is already making moves against the Harrigans, and she finds a willing partner in Conrad’s illegitimate daughter, Seraphina.
Episode 2: Frankie Cooper Declares War
“Song 2” introduces Frankie Cooper, a new operator working for Kat McAllister through the corrupt policeman Colin Tattersall. Frankie does not wait for the Harrigans to believe Harry’s warnings. He launches a coordinated attack on the people Harry is trying to protect.
The attack lands on several fronts. Fergus, a member of the extended Harrigan circle, is killed. Zosia, Harry’s associate, is kidnapped. And Bella Harrigan, Kevin’s wife, is taken by Frankie’s men. Kevin is left in a state of panic while Harry tries to hold the response together.
Conrad receives medical news that changes the season’s direction. An MRI shows focal atrophy in the orbitofrontal cortex and the anterior cingulate gyrus — the areas that govern judgment and decision-making. Conrad’s authority is not just being challenged from outside. The organ that helps him rule is failing.
Maeve responds to the crisis with her usual calm. “There’s no point lubing this up anymore; let the gun-fucking begin,” she says. The line sets the tone for the rest of the season.
Harry reaches a personal milestone in this episode too. He begins talking about taking his family and leaving London and the Harrigans behind, an idea he has never voiced before. Jan’s divorce papers and Gina’s absence have made the cost of his loyalty impossible to ignore.
Episode 3: Frankie Makes His Offer, Then Leaves a Bomb
“Bonzo Goes to Bitburg” brings Frankie Cooper face to face with the Harrigans in their own headquarters. Frankie arrives on a motorized scooter and lays out a proposal: he will take over the family’s criminal operations, while key Harrigan members keep a role underneath him. Bella’s life hangs over the meeting.
Frankie releases Bella, but he leaves something behind. A bike helmet left in the building contains a bomb. The explosion destroys the Harrigan yard’s main office, taking the family’s base of operations with it.
Johnny Flynn, who plays Frankie, told Men’s Journal that the character never expected the Harrigans to accept his deal. “He’s poking people by shaming them in terms of their inaptitude and to point out some of the obvious things about this operation that may be falling apart and to lean on to sow division,” Flynn said. “But I don’t think he thinks they’re going to take him up on his deal.”
The episode also moves Paul, Harry’s right-hand man, into a more active role. Paul covers up Harrigan involvement in the violence at the Falkland Arms and begins working to secure evidence before the police can.
Episode 4: Harry Confronts Seraphina and Lets Her Live
“Blank Curtain” is the episode where Harry finally confirms what he has suspected since the premiere: Seraphina Harrigan has been working with Kat McAllister against her own father. Harry confronts her, and Seraphina admits the betrayal. She expects him to kill her.
“If you’re gonna do it, can you just please do it now?” — Seraphina Harrigan, as quoted by ScreenRant
Harry spares her. He tells her to go home and wait for his call. He also chooses not to share his suspicions with Conrad when he has the chance. The decision keeps Seraphina alive and keeps her betrayal secret, but it also leaves the most dangerous person inside the Harrigan circle free to keep working.
Conrad’s mental state worsens. He forgets that his eldest son Brendan was murdered in Season 1, asking “Where’s Brendan?” before trying to cover the slip. His anger at Harry boils over after Frankie’s attack. “Do I have to spell it out? There are two sides here: my fucking side and Kevin’s fucking side. It’s time to pick a fucking side,” Conrad tells Harry.
Maeve sends Eddie and Gina to Ireland on a mission she does not explain. Before their flight leaves, she sings a cryptic verse down the phone: “Ride out for me, my gallant one, past rivers black and mountains dun. Bring back the sword our fell foes keep, and I’ll watch for your sails while the children sleep.”
The episode ends with Conrad finding a half-empty bottle of antifreeze under Maeve’s sink. He asks her who the intended target is. She denies everything with the wounded tone of someone who has been wrongly accused.
Episode 5: Harry Goes to Ireland as the Harrigans Lose Their Home
“Birdland” opens with the consequences of Conrad’s rage. Conrad has attacked Frankie’s wrecking yard, killed several of his men, and kidnapped one of them, JoJo. Harry arrives at the Cotswolds to find a half-naked, bloodied Conrad coming out of the barns where JoJo is being held. Harry kills JoJo to clean up the mess.
Harry also handles a problem inside the police. He learns that Finch, a detective, has been feeding information to the other side. Harry takes Finch into the woods and kills him, staging the scene to look like a suicide.
The Ireland mission becomes the episode’s main thread. Maeve has sent Eddie and Gina to kill an Irish gangster known as Medusa, played by Colm Meaney. Eddie is hopelessly unprepared. He watches online tutorials on how to handle a firearm. Medusa captures him, and Eddie names Maeve as the person who sent him. Medusa threatens him with a hot poker.
Harry races to Ireland to save Eddie and Gina before Maeve’s scheme gets them killed. He reaches Medusa first and eliminates him.
The episode ends with the Harrigans in full retreat. Frankie Cooper’s assault has cost them their stronghold. The family that began the season with a dog-track massacre is now without a home base, without a clear leader, and without the fixer who has kept them alive for years.
How the Harrigan Family Fractured Across Five Episodes
The first half of MobLand Season 2 is built on a simple idea: the Harrigans are not losing because their enemies are stronger. They are losing because they cannot stop fighting each other.
Conrad begins the season as a patriarch who still expects the room to bend to him. By Episode 5, his own brain is working against him, and he has attacked an enemy without a plan, forcing Harry to clean up the consequences.
Maeve is the season’s most controlled operator. She sends Eddie and Gina to Ireland on a mission she refuses to explain, keeps a bottle of antifreeze under her sink, and watches her husband’s decline with something closer to interest than concern.
Kevin spends the first five episodes being humiliated. He went behind his father’s back in Episode 1, and by Episode 3 his wife was kidnapped because of the war his decision helped start.
Seraphina makes a deal with Kat McAllister to take control of the family business, offering Kat half of the Harrigans’ revenue for four years in exchange for help seizing the throne. Harry catches her and lets her live, but the betrayal is now a fact he is carrying alone.
Harry is the constant. He kills for the family, lies for the family, and watches his marriage end because of the family. Tom Hardy told ScreenRant that Season 2 puts Harry on the back foot in a way the show has never done before, stripping him of the advantage of being five steps ahead.
Kat McAllister works from the outside, using Frankie Cooper as her weapon and Colin Tattersall as her inside man. Her goal is not just to hurt the Harrigans but to replace them. As the U.S. ambassador to London, she has access to a kind of power the Harrigans cannot match with guns.
Frankie Cooper is the season’s new face of violence. He arrives on a scooter, makes an offer he does not expect anyone to accept, and leaves a bomb in a bike helmet on his way out.
