The crime world of London’s most ruthless families is set to make a powerful return. Paramount+ has officially scheduled MobLand Season 2 for a 2026 release, confirming the next chapter of Guy Ritchie’s hit drama is in the pipeline. Following a record-breaking first season that became the streamer’s biggest global series premiere, the show is currently in active production and bringing back its star-studded cast.

2026 Release Confirmed for MobLand Season 2

While fans are eager for an exact date, Paramount+ has provided a clear timeframe. A recent promotional ad for the streamer’s 2026 lineup, narrated by star Helen Mirren, listed MobLand Season 2 among the “returning favorites” scheduled for the year. This confirmation places the new season within the next twelve months, though a specific premiere month or date has not been announced.

The show is aiming for a quick turnaround, continuing a positive trend for Paramount+ in releasing new seasons of its popular shows without the long delays common on other streaming platforms. Industry observers speculate a potential summer or later 2026 debut, as filming continues into early 2026.

Returning Cast and New Faces for Season 2

The core ensemble led by Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren will all return for the new season. They will be joined by a large group of returning actors from the first season’s bloody finale.

The confirmed returning cast includes:

  • Paddy Considine as Kevin Harrigan
  • Joanne Froggatt as Jan Da Souza
  • Lara Pulver as Bella Harrigan
  • Anson Boon as Eddie Harrigan
  • Jasmine Jobson as Zosia
  • Mandeep Dhillon as Seraphina Harrigan
  • Toby Jones as Detective Colin Tattersall
  • Janet McTeer as crime boss Kat McAllister

Additionally, two new actors will join the cast as series regulars: Johnny Flynn (Beast) and Ophelia Lovibond (Minx). Details about their characters are still secret.

Joanne Froggatt, who plays Jan Da Souza, shared her excitement about returning: “I’m so looking forward to going back to film Season 2 of MobLand. I loved, loved, loved it. I mean, it was such a great script and such a great character. Just [an] incredible cast.”

Where Season 1 Ended and What Comes Next

The first season finale left every major character at a dangerous crossroads, setting the stage for new conflicts.

Tom Hardy’s fixer, Harry Da Souza, ended the season with a knife in his chest after a heated argument with his wife, Jan. While he will likely survive, he has also made a powerful new enemy in international crime lord Kat McAllister by refusing her job offer, putting himself and his family at risk.

The Harrigan patriarch Conrad (Pierce Brosnan) and matriarch Maeve (Helen Mirren) found themselves in prison on fabricated charges. However, with evidence to free them, their imprisonment may be short-lived. Within the family, power struggles intensified as their son Kevin (Paddy Considine) revealed his plan to take over the business, while their grandson Eddie (Anson Boon) learned the shocking truth that Conrad is his real father.

With the rival Stevenson family apparently decimated, the new threats are expected to come from within the Harrigan dynasty and from external forces like McAllister’s global empire. Tom Hardy hinted that the show’s scope would widen, exploring the “international elements of organized crime” and the flow of weapons, drugs, and other commodities across Europe and beyond.

Global Success and How to Watch

MobLand quickly proved to be a major hit for Paramount+. Its March 2025 premiere generated 2.2 million global views on its first day, setting a record for the streamer. To date, the series has been watched by over 26 million people, making it the second-most-watched original series ever on Paramount+, just behind Landman. It consistently ranks in the streamer’s global top ten and has seen particular popularity in Latin America.

For audiences waiting for the new season, all 10 episodes of MobLand Season 1 are available to stream exclusively on Paramount+.
