Prime Video has dropped the first full trailer for Neagley, the upcoming spin-off series from the popular Reacher universe. The trailer gives fans a clear look at what Frances Neagley will face when she steps into the spotlight alone.
Maria Sten returns as Frances Neagley, the private investigator and former military colleague of Jack Reacher. The eight-episode series will premiere on September 16, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries worldwide. All episodes will be available to stream on the same day.
The trailer arrived on August 12, 2026, the same day Reacher Season 4 launched with its first three episodes. This timing gives viewers a chance to watch both shows and see how they connect.
What the Neagley Trailer Reveals About the Story
The Neagley trailer opens with Jack Reacher helping Frances take down some opponents. She tells him, “You’ll always have my back”. But soon, the story shifts to her own case.
Frances Neagley learns that a friend from her past named Tommy has died in what officials call a suspicious accident. He was hit by a train, and investigators believe he was under the influence and wandered onto the tracks. Frances does not accept this explanation. She believes he was murdered.
The trailer shows Frances investigating Tommy’s death and discovering a farm called Echo Canyon Farm. This place takes in people who have nowhere else to go. But it turns out to be a front for a dangerous cult. The cult is run by a leader who calls himself a “personal jesus”. The farm is used by wealthy and powerful people to kill others without getting caught.
“Frances Neagley is a private investigator in Chicago and former military protege of Jack Reacher in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell-bent on justice”.
Frances sends a young man named Keno to the farm to gather information. As she gets closer to the truth, she faces betrayal from someone she trusted. Pierce Woodrow appears to be on her side at first, but he later panics and asks the cult leader to stop her from uncovering their operations.
The official synopsis states: “Using everything she’s learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil”.
Jack Reacher Appears in the Spin-Off Series
Alan Ritchson reprises his role as Jack Reacher in Neagley as a guest star. The trailer shows Reacher helping Neagley in a fight scene, punching out several opponents.
Reacher tells Neagley, “Looks like you had your hands full”. She responds, “You know you could have called me if you needed help. You always have my back”.
Neagley and Reacher share a history from their time together in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. Their connection runs deep, and Reacher clearly trusts her abilities even as she works alone on this case.
