Netflix released the full-length official trailer for Agents of Mystery Season 2 on February 10, 2026, giving fans their most detailed look yet at the upgraded missions and terrifying supernatural threats awaiting Lee Yongjin, John Park, Hyeri, Kim Do-hoon, Karina, and new member Gabee.

The two-minute trailer, uploaded on Netflix Korea’s official YouTube channel and social media platforms, shows the six investigators from the secret organization XIN confronting large-scale outdoor incidents that look straight out of a horror film. One scene features the team standing at a dark, foggy reservoir while unidentified beings pressure them from all sides. In another moment, members scream and scatter as a mysterious entity chases them through an abandoned facility.

The trailer highlights Karina’s determined line that becomes the team’s rallying cry: “What else can we do but die? Let’s go.” The aespa member, known as the squad’s “cheat key” for her sharp intuition in Season 1, appears fully ready to take on even deadlier challenges.

Agents of Mystery Season 2 is scheduled for worldwide release on Friday, February 27, 2026, exclusively on Netflix.

The Six-Member Squad Returns With One Powerful New Face

Lee Yongjin, John Park, Hyeri, Kim Do-hoon, and Karina are all back as experienced agents. Their investigative skills have leveled up after handling the bizarre cult and deep-sea submarine cases in the first season. The only change to the lineup is the absence of comedian Lee Eun-ji, who was part of the original Season 1 cast.

Taking her place is Gabee, the dancer and entertainer known from Street Woman Fighter. Producer Jung Jong-yeon personally selected Gabee, stating she “possesses the elements needed for Agents of Mystery.” Her teammates immediately felt her impact.

Lee Yongjin said, “She showed bolder play than I expected, which was a good stimulus. When we were only worrying, she had the energy to boldly act. Thanks to that, there were many moments when the flow came alive.”

Hyeri and Karina added, “There were moments we wanted to give up, but thanks to Gabee unni’s energy, we persevered and succeeded.”

Gabee herself admitted she watched Season 1 thinking, “I want to be in there,” and approached the new season with the simple mindset to “just do my part properly.”

Producer Jung Jong-yeon Expands the Mystery Universe Beyond Indoor Sets

Jung Jong-yeon, the creative force behind The Devil’s Plan, The Great Escape, and High School Mystery Club, designed Season 2 to break free from the enclosed spaces that defined the first season. He introduced what he calls a “destructive story from the very first episode.”

“We wanted to break out of confined spaces, so we’re opening with a disruptive story right from Episode 1,” Jung explained. “With more active movement through larger locations, the team’s investigations will feel even more thrilling.”

The shift to outdoor missions and larger sets is evident in the trailer. Instead of haunted houses or locked laboratories, the agents now investigate eerie lakesides, sprawling industrial sites, and open fields where danger can approach from any direction. The producer emphasized that the series still delivers the “thrill and splendor like a drama or film” combined with the “realism unique to non-scripted programming.”

Cast Members Trained Differently for Season 2’s Intense Horror Elements

Behind-the-scenes interviews with the cast reveal just how seriously they prepared for the heightened difficulty.

Kim Do-hoon, who serves as the team’s action leader, admitted he had to train his courage specifically for Season 2.

“I joined with the resolve to dig into mysteries a bit more sharply and one step more courageously,” Kim Do-hoon said. “I realized that courage is an important investigative skill for solving mysteries. Before Season 2, I trained my courage by watching horror films I normally wouldn’t even look at.”

Karina also worked on her investigative abilities outside of filming.

“I wanted to show a more evolved and precise side,” she stated. “I went to many escape rooms and watched films to build courage.”

John Park, praised as the squad’s logical brain, revealed a rare moment of vulnerability.

“The returning season is more spectacular and full of tension. This season I think I handled the ‘startled’ reactions. The moments of surprise are still vivid.”

Hyeri, known as the team’s courageous “tanker,” expressed confidence in the upgraded production scale.

“In terms of scale and the worldview, it expanded enormously. Not only those who loved Season 1 but also viewers looking for large-scale mystery programs will be satisfied. I aimed for bigger performances and tried to increase and maintain my concentration at every shoot.”

Lee Yongjin focused less on individual heroics and more on team coordination.

“I am truly honored to present Season 2 with a bigger worldview and deeper story. I practiced organizing situations a lot. Rather than trying to do well alone, I focused most on accurately performing my role within the team.”

Stronger Teamwork and Chemistry Became the Season’s Secret Weapon

Multiple cast members described the Season 2 bonding experience as something beyond typical variety show camaraderie.

Producer Jung Jong-yeon observed the group dynamic closely.

“The chemistry among the six was solid like siblings. Although they bickered all day, in every crisis that required concentration they helped and encouraged each other, overflowing with familial affection.”

Lee Yongjin noted how their different styles now work in perfect sync.

“Each moves in different ways, but when they come together it naturally leads to one conclusion.”

John Park credited the team’s survival to their unity.

“There were moments we couldn’t have gotten through without this teamwork.”

Kim Do-hoon used a marine metaphor to describe their relationship.

“Each shows their individuality and specialized talents and outwardly plays different roles, but ultimately as a team they become stronger together. Beyond simple camaraderie, I felt comradeship.”

Gabee, the rookie, summarized the team’s harmony beautifully.

“Each person’s characteristics are all different, but when gathered they formed an astonishing chorus.”

Season 2 Episode Count and Case Themes

Agents of Mystery Season 2 consists of eight episodes, two more than the first season’s six-episode run .

While Netflix has not officially revealed full episode titles beyond the premiere, early planning documents and production reports indicate the season revisits and expands the mythology introduced in Season 1. The first case in the premiere is reportedly titled “The Followers of the Evil One Part 2,” directly continuing the cult storyline from the 2024 episodes .

Another previously announced case, “Into the Deep Sea,” explores the eerie truth behind the submarine Midas . Both stories promise higher stakes and deeper world-building.
