Netflix has released the official teaser for Agents of Mystery Season 2, finally giving fans a first look at the returning team’s new adventures. The streaming service confirmed the show will premiere globally on February 27, 2026. The teaser and new stills were shown during the “Next on Netflix 2026 Korea” event in Seoul on January 21. The popular mystery adventure series, known for its teams solving strange cases, is coming back with a bigger scale and new missions that promise even more thrills.

Returning Cast and a New Recruit for Season 2

The core team from the first season is officially back on duty. Lee Yong Jin, John Park, Hyeri, Kim Do Hoon, and aespa’s Karina are all returning as agents. They are joined by a new member, Gabee, who will bring fresh energy to the group’s dynamic. Official stills released from the event show the six agents together in matching uniforms, looking ready for action.

The show’s format brings together celebrities from different fields to work as a team. Lee Yong Jin and John Park are known for their humor and variety show experience. Hyeri, a former member of the K-pop group Girl’s Day and a successful actress, and Kim Do Hoon, an actor, add different perspectives. Karina, leader of the top K-pop group aespa, returns to showcase her problem-solving skills alongside the dance artist Gabee.

A Bigger Scale for the Mystery Universe

Agents of Mystery is a reality adventure show where a team investigates and solves bizarre cases that cannot be explained by normal science. The show is produced by PD Jung Jong Yeon, the creative mind behind other hit Netflix shows like “The Devil’s Plan” and popular Korean programs such as “The Great Escape”.

For this second season, the director has planned significant upgrades. PD Jung Jong Yeon explained the team wanted to break away from confined spaces that were used in the first season. He stated that from the very first episode, they introduced what he called a “disruptive story” to allow for more active movement.

Director Jung Jong Yeon stated, “To break away from confined spaces, we introduced a disruptive story from the very first episode. You can look forward to the agents’ activities becoming even more exciting thanks to their ability to move through spaces more actively.”

The overall mystery universe of the show has been deepened, and the production scale has expanded. The new season will feature outdoor missions and employ more elaborate devices to heighten the mystery elements.

What the New Teaser Reveals

The official teaser trailer gives a exciting first glimpse of the new season’s tone and setting. A key narration in the teaser welcomes the agents back, saying, “Welcome back to your XIN duties,” referring to the secret organization they work for within the show. The visuals show the team cutting through darkness and heading toward a desolate lakeside area, suggesting the new cases will take them to unusual and potentially spooky outdoor locations.

This shift to more open, unpredictable environments is a direct result of the production team’s goal to increase the thrill factor. PD Jung Jong Yeon connected the show’s appeal to the feeling of watching a gripping film.

He continued, “When I asked myself, ‘Why do we need to make Season 2 of “Agents of Mystery”?’ I realized there were still more stories to tell,” adding, “If you want to experience the thrill and spectacle of dramas and films, along with the unique realism of an unscripted show, ‘Agents of Mystery’ is the answer.”
