“From obscurity to stardom, the journey is often fraught with challenges.” This statement rings true for Han So Hee, a global star whose journey to fame has been anything but smooth.

On April 1, a report was released detailing 9Ato Entertainment‘s efforts in making Han So Hee into the global star she is today.

Han So Hee issues apology for now-deleted post involving Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol; Her agency offers brief statement

The article described how 9Ato Entertainment’s CEO, Hwang Bok Yong, had staked his fortune on Han So Hee and revealed that the label had paid to get her tattoos removed.

After much deliberation, CEO Hwang decided to take all the expenses that he had previously split with his business partners to bring Han So Hee. 9Ato Entertainment was formed by him, betting on her potential. It was around that time that the agency paid ₩20.0 million KRW (about $14,900 USD) to remove her tattoos.

The article then describes how all of the agency’s efforts to make Han So Hee into a star went up in flames overnight.

Han So Hee, who had raced to the top like a racehorse was finally given her first break, but unfortunately, she went with her now-ex Ryu Jun Yeol. Everything became a mess when Hyeri, who felt the mourning period for her relationship with Ryu Jun Yeol hadn’t yet passed, wrote, Interesting, which started a conflict. In the end, Han So Hee’s relationship ended two weeks after confirming it, and the actress became a rude and careless person in the eyes of many.

The article then stated that according to industry insiders, that the label had tried, but despite its best efforts, ultimately couldn’t control Han So Hee.

According to many industry insiders, it wasn’t that 9Ato Entertainment didn’t control Han So Hee; it was that they couldn’t. It is said that the actress has stopped listening to her agency since her K-Drama, Nevertheless. It is also said that the agency had to tip-toe around Han So Hee and that she had the ultimate say in decisions about her career.

They also took exception to the fact that the report claimed that the drama had started when Hyeri uploaded her infamous Instagram post. Netizens expressed their views with comments like “They are blaming Hyeri until the very end!” and “This agency is doing way too much media play.” Some also felt that the agency was blaming Hyeri for everything and called for her to be left alone.
