On December 27, 2024, the production team of When the Phone Rings shared new images and teasers featuring the main actors. The stills from the upcoming episode show Sa Eon returning to work after regaining consciousness. A fresh wound on his forehead suggests he is still recovering. Despite his condition, his determination to perform on stage with Hee Joo motivates him.
Before going on stage, the couple shares a quiet moment, communicating in sign language. Hee Joo is excited to finally achieve her dream of giving a speech with Sa Eon, but she remains professional. Their strong connection is visible through subtle glances and eye contact as they share the stage.
The Story of “When the Phone Rings”
Based on the web novel The Number You Have Dialed by Geon Eomul Nyeo, the series follows the complicated marriage of Baek Sa Eon and Hong Hui Ju. Their marriage began as a practical arrangement. For three years, they have lived together quietly, pretending to be a happy couple to the outside world. However, after Hui Ju’s kidnapping, their relationship takes a turn.
The Cast and Where to Watch
Besides Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin in the main roles, the show also features a supporting cast, including Heo Nam Jun, Jang Gyuri, and Han Jae Yi. Directed by Park Sang Woo and Wi Deuk Gyu, new episodes of When the Phone Rings are available every Friday and Saturday on Netflix.
