Earlier this week on May 7, NewJeans members Minji and Danielle greeted fans through a live broadcast, celebrating Minji’s birthday together.
However, many fans raised concerns that Danielle appeared “quieter than usual” during the live, leading to speculations that recent affairs may be taking a toll on the NewJeans members.
Then, on May 8 KST, Danielle responded to the fans’ concerns via Phoning, writing, “I was really happy to see everyone yesterday! There were some Bunnies who were worried about me because I was quieter than usual!! TT. Thank you for worrying about me and sending me your support!! TT. My heart is heavy these days, but we are still working hard and practicing for Bunnies, so don’t worry.”
Although Danielle’s message assured fans, some still expressed uncertainty with the idol’s words that her “heart was heavy these days”.
Meanwhile, it appears that no resolution has been reached between CEO Min Hee Jin of ADOR and HYBE Labels over the recent internal dispute. Despite the feud, plans for NewJeans to make a comeback will still proceed as plans, with the release of the double single “How Sweet / Bubble Gum” coming up on May 24.
