NewJeans member Hanni has come forward with serious allegations against her management company, ADOR (a subsidiary of HYBE), claiming that she possesses audio recordings that could reveal lies and cover-ups regarding her workplace treatment. The controversy began when Hanni raised concerns about bullying during a livestream, and the issue has escalated with new developments during a recent audit on October 15, 2024.

Background of the Allegations

During the livestream, Hanni recounted an incident where she claimed that a manager from another HYBE group instructed team members to “ignore Hanni.” Disturbed by this behavior, she brought up the matter with ADOR’s new CEO, Ju Young Kim. According to Hanni, the CEO initially claimed that there was no video evidence of the incident, as the CCTV footage in question had been deleted.

However, Hanni stated during the audit that she had secretly recorded her meetings with the ADOR management. She alleges that these recordings contradict the CEO’s statements, suggesting that ADOR may have lied about the missing footage.

Hanni’s Statement

Hanni shared during the audit that she had grown suspicious when the management’s explanation for the erased footage kept changing. She explained her decision to record the meetings, citing the challenges she faces as a foreigner in understanding complex discussions conducted in Korean. Born in Australia to Vietnamese parents, Hanni stated that her Korean proficiency, while good, isn’t perfect, and she did not want to miss any crucial details from her meetings.

“I asked why the back part of the clip was erased. I clearly explained things to them, but throughout the meeting, they kept changing their reason on why the clip was erased. They changed their reason and made mistakes in their speech. They said the clip was erased, but the CEO backtracked suddenly. Since I’m a foreigner, an Australian-born Vietnamese, I can’t understand Korean 100% even if I try. I don’t want to miss anything in such an important meeting, so I went in and recorded everything. I have proof that they are lying.”

As of now, Hanni has not released the audio recordings to the public, but her claims have already caused a stir among fans and the industry. The details of her recordings are expected to shed light on the discrepancies between ADOR’s official statements and what actually occurred during their meetings. Fans are closely monitoring the situation, eagerly awaiting further developments and any possible legal or corporate actions.

While ADOR and HYBE have yet to make any official statements about these allegations, the revelations have undoubtedly sparked conversations about transparency and accountability within the company.
