The Korean drama ONE: High School Heroes has left fans eager for more after its intense finale. The show, starring Lee Jung-ha and Kim Do-wan, wrapped up its first season with major unresolved storylines and a hint at a potential second season.
The series follows Kim Eui-gyeom (Lee Jung-ha), a top student pressured by his abusive father, and Kang Yun-ki (Kim Do-wan), a skilled fighter with a tragic past. Together, they fight against school bullies while dealing with personal struggles. The finale saw Eui-gyeom defeating his main rival, Choi Ki-soo, but many questions remain unanswered.
The ending showed Eui-gyeom and Yun-ki transferring to a mysterious new school with brutal rules. Students must defeat ten others to leave, making it seem like a prison. This setup strongly suggests a second season could explore their new challenges.
“I don’t know the detailed plan, but I would be so grateful if Season 2 comes out, and I would be happy if it is produced,” said Kim Do-wan in an interview with Xports News.
The show became a hit after its release on Wavve, topping viewership charts for 10 consecutive days. Fans loved the action-packed fights and emotional struggles of the main characters. The unresolved fate of villains like Kim Nam-hyub and Choi Ki-soo also fuels speculation about a continuation.
The production team has not yet confirmed a second season. However, the open-ended finale and strong fan response increase the chances of renewal. If approved, Season 2 could dive deeper into the dark new school environment and the unresolved conflicts from the first season.
