What Happened Before the Season 2 Finale?
The ninth episode, which aired on January 7, 2026, set the stage for a major confrontation. Key events from that episode include Maxine learning that her husband, Douglas, has a serious heart condition. Robert, after realizing that Norma never truly protected him, left to reconnect with his son.
The episode also revealed that Norma is Linda’s biological mother. In a climactic series of events, Evelyn was attacked by Jed. Maxine, in response, shot and killed Jed, an action that is sure to have immediate and severe consequences in the finale.
Season 2 began with Maxine in a mental health facility called Sunny Tides following her public breakdown at the end of Season 1.
