South Korean actor Park Bo Gum surprised everyone by openly admitting his feelings for I-DLE member Minnie during a recent episode of his music talk show. The heartfelt moment happened while the K-pop group was promoting their latest comeback. Park Bo Gum recalled their first meeting two years ago and said he was deeply moved by Minnie’s voice.
The episode of The Seasons: Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile aired on May 23, 2025, featuring I-DLE as guests. While talking about their music, Park Bo Gum suddenly brought up their past collaboration at Music Bank in Mexico in 2023. He performed the song Remember Me with Minnie and Hanni from NewJeans.
“We sang Remember Me. I played the piano and you sang. We didn’t have time to rehearse together, but when I heard Minnie’s voice through the in-ear monitor, I was completely taken in,” he confessed. His words left the studio audience and fans in shock.
Initial reports suggested he said, “I fell in love with Minnie that day,” but later clarifications confirmed he meant he fell in love with her voice. Still, fans went wild over the unexpected confession.
“So are we just not gonna talk about the fact that Park Bogum just said he’s in love with Minnie and he fell in love with her two years ago that too at first sight? And he said this in front of Minnie, I-DLE, and FANS—this guy is crazyyy!!!”

I-DLE’s leader Soyeon explained that the name change was a return to their original identity. The group debuted in 2018 and has since released hits like Tomboy, Queencard, and Super Lady. Their latest album, We Are, dropped on May 19, 2025.
Park Bo Gum, known for dramas like Reply 1988 and When Life Gives You Tangerines, has rarely spoken about his personal life. Past dating rumors linked him to actresses Kim Yoo Jung and Jang Na Ra, but none were confirmed. His candid confession about Minnie marks a rare personal revelation.
