Pop star Sabrina Carpenter is expanding her creative talents, taking on a starring and producing role in an upcoming Alice in Wonderland musical film for Universal Pictures. The project has assembled a notable team of Hollywood veterans. Director and writer Lorene Scafaria received critical acclaim for the 2019 film Hustlers, which earned her a Best Director nomination from the Independent Spirit Awards.
Producer Marc Platt brings extensive experience with major musicals to the project, having produced both the Broadway and film versions of Wicked. He also produced the Oscar-winning film La La Land.
They are joined by producers Leslie Morgenstein and Elysa Koplovitz Dutton of Alloy Entertainment, the company behind popular television series like Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars.
Sabrina Carpenter’s Dual Career
