Sean Diddy Combs, the famed music mogul and founder of Bad Boy Records, reportedly looks significantly thinner and grayer after spending three months in detention at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn. His deteriorating appearance was noted during his recent court hearing on December 18, 2024.
Observations from Court
Law & Crime reporter Elizabeth Millner, who attended the federal court proceedings, remarked on the stark difference in Combs’ physical appearance compared to his previous public image. She highlighted that the 54-year-old seemed leaner and grayer, a shift likely attributed to the harsh conditions of his incarceration.
“Detention is starting to wear him off. He appeared grayer a little bit,” said Millner while reflecting on his current state.
The hearing focused on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution that Combs is currently facing.
Harsh Prison Conditions
Combs‘ imprisonment at the MDC marks a dramatic change from his previously luxurious lifestyle. Despite the difficult conditions, a source close to the rapper shared with Page Six that he remains fit and in good spirits. The source explained that Combs has taken to maintaining an active lifestyle while behind bars and regularly looks forward to connecting with his children through approved visits.
The attorney representing Combs, Marc Agnifilo, acknowledged that food has been one of the most challenging aspects of his time in detention. Inmates at the MDC typically receive basic meals, including cereal, fruit, and pastries for breakfast, and items like hamburgers, beef tacos, or pasta for lunch and dinner.
Past Incidents During Detention
Shortly after his arrest on September 16, 2024, Combs was placed under suicide watch at the MDC, a measure his legal team claimed was unnecessary. The watch was later lifted after his lawyer assured the court of his client’s mental stability and focus on his defense.
Combs has been denied bail three times by federal judges, citing the severity of the charges. Consequently, he has ceased attempts to secure release before his trial, which is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025.
Holiday Meals and Daily Routine
During Thanksgiving, reports indicated that Combs had access to a traditional holiday meal featuring roast turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and mixed vegetables. Similarly, for Christmas, he is expected to be served baked Cornish hen, macaroni and cheese, cranberry sauce, and dinner rolls.
Despite these temporary moments of normalcy, Combs’ current lifestyle starkly contrasts with his past opulent living.
