A video showing an angry security guard shouting and swearing at NCT’s Mark has spread quickly online, causing widespread anger among fans. The incident took place on November 24, 2025, in Seoul’s Seongsu district, after the idol attended a public event. Fans are calling the guard’s behavior unprofessional and disrespectful.

What Happened at the Event

Mark was in Seongsu for a photo call event related to the Cosrx pop-up store. After finishing his scheduled appearance, he was leaving the venue in a car when he rolled down the window to wave to waiting fans. It was this simple, friendly gesture that sparked the confrontation.

An eyewitness described the tense scene, stating that the situation was chaotic with people pushing, but that Mark was simply trying to be kind. The original poster of the video later provided more detail, writing, โ€œTo be precise, the guard said, โ€˜F*ck, donโ€™t open the door.โ€™โ€ The security guardโ€™s job was to protect the artist, but his aggressive reaction was aimed directly at Mark.

Fan Reactions Pour In Online

The clip was shared widely on social media platforms, with fans expressing shock and anger. Many questioned the guard’s conduct and professionalism.

One fan commented on the situation, writing, โ€œItโ€™s the security guardโ€™s job to protect the artist, not curse at them however they want.โ€ Another supporter noted, โ€œWhat did Mark do wrong? He was just waving to fans. This is extremely rude.โ€

Many fans online have stood up for Mark, pointing out that he did nothing wrong and was simply appreciating his fans. The general feeling is that the guard’s language was unacceptable. There have been calls for the event organizers or the security company to address what happened.

A Pattern of Recent Attention

This is not the first time Mark has recently been at the center of online discussion. Just a week before this incident, he faced some negative reactions after he shared a video of himself dancing to an unedited demo of his solo song “1999” on the fan platform Bubble. Some people online criticized the clip, which was meant as a fun sharing moment with fans.

Earlier in the year, his commercial collaboration with McDonald’s South Korea also sparked debate among some fans regarding global political issues. This recent event with the security guard, however, has shifted focus back to how the idol is treated in public.

โ€œMark was trying to wave to fans, but the security guard yelled, โ€˜Why are you rolling the window down, f*ck.โ€™ I was furious.โ€

As of now, neither Mark nor his management company, SM Entertainment, has made a public statement about the incident. The viral video continues to circulate, with fans continuing to voice their support for Mark and their disapproval of the guard’s actions.
