He previously operated a club in Korea.
It was reported in Korean media that Seungri was preparing to open a club in Cambodia. According to sources close to him, he has already finished securing investments for the club. This would be his second rodeo with the industry. He previously operated a club called Burning Sun, which was implicated in illegal activities such as prostitution and drug use.
It was also previously reported that Seungri had been angling to get back in the business. He was spotted socializing with relevant parties in Hong Kong, leading to netizens there speculating that he would soon be opening a nightclub there.
“Yeah, he kept socializing with bosses of alcohol distributors and clubs. It seemed business-related. There were so many women with plastic surgery and gold diggers talking to him.”

While people were shocked that news of his club opening in Cambodia would hit the fan first, he is not new to the market. Previously, he attended a fanmeet in the country, even going as far as to promise to bring G-DRAGON over to the country.
In response to this, Korean netizens are incensed.
- He’s crazy over clubs… Bet they’ll have a drug party there too.
- Is he going global now?
- Club again? Bet he does the same thing.
- Typhoon, please sweep him up.
- Hope it goes bottom up. F*ck.
- Is he really crazy?
- Barf.
The Burning Sun scandal was a huge one that rocked the K-Pop industry. Whistle-blowers reported illegal activity including drug abuse, illegal filming and sexual assault, as well as the infamous group chat consisting of Seungri and other celebrity friends. The group chat shared illegally filmed explicit content and served as a way for Seungri to command and facilitate prostitution. In 2020, Seungri pleaded guilty to facilitating prostitution, illegal filming, habitual gambling, and more. He was sentenced to a year and a half of jail.
