Park Ji Ah’s agency, BILLIONS, shared the sad news that the actress passed away at 2:50 AM KST on September 30 due to complications from cerebral infarction. The agency highlighted her dedication to acting, stating that she loved her craft deeply and remained passionate about her work until the end. The mortuary has been set up at Room 2 of Asan Medical Center in Seoul, with her funeral and the sealing of her coffin to take place on October 2 at 10 AM KST.

A Talented Actress with a Long Career

Park Ji Ah began her acting career in 2002 after graduating from Seoul Institute of the Arts. Her debut film was The Coast Guard, but she had previously made guest appearances in smaller roles in films like Bus Stop and Oh! LaLa Sisters. Over the years, Park Ji Ah became known for her work in various K-dramas such as Cleaning Up, Bloody Heart, and Judge vs Judge. She gained wider recognition for her role as Song Hye Kyo’s mother in The Glory.

Her final appearance was in the 2024 film Hijacking 1971. Throughout her career, she also worked in films such as The Closet, Rampant, Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum, and Girl on the Edge.
