The Colorado mountain town is getting a new, very different kind of holiday special. The South Park Season 28 finale, titled “The Crap Out,” aired its climactic episode. This special marks the show’s first full Christmas episode in six years and delivers on a storyline the series has been building all season: the birth of the Antichrist. The official tagline set the tone: “Satan’s due, Stan’s praying, and only a Christmas miracle can deliver the Antichrist on time”.

The episode serves as the finale for a five-episode season that began abruptly in October 2025. It brings together threads from the entire season, focusing on the unholy pregnancy of Satan, who is expecting a child fathered by President Donald Trump. With Trump dressed as Santa and his Vice President, J.D. Vance, appearing as an elf in promotional material, the show mixed its signature political satire with dark holiday themes.

A Full Season Storyline Culminates in the Finale

The arrival of the Antichrist was not a last-minute twist. Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone planted the seeds for this storyline in the previous season and developed it throughout Season 28.

  • Season 28 Premiere (“Twisted Christian”): The season opened with tech billionaire Peter Thiel arriving at South Park Elementary. He warned the children that a viral “6-7” meme was satanic numerology tied to a biblical prophecy from Revelation “6:7” that would lead to the Antichrist’s birth. Simultaneously, the plot revealed that Satan was pregnant with Trump’s child, referred to directly as the Antichrist. J.D. Vance and Trump were shown attempting to get an abortion for Satan at a Planned Parenthood.
  • Season Build-Up: The storyline continued as a running joke through subsequent episodes. In the Halloween episode, a very pregnant Satan confronted Trump at the White House about building a nursery. Later episodes showed Vance and Trump beginning a secret affair as they conspired to stop the birth, while Peter Thiel held a possibly “possessed” Eric Cartman, believing him to be connected to the prophecy.
  • The Final Payoff: All these threads were designed to lead directly into the Christmas finale, “The Crap Out,” where Satan finally goes into labor.

Political Satire Draws Real-World Reactions

The show’s relentless parody of the Trump administration and its allies has not gone unnoticed. The White House issued a statement earlier in the season criticizing the show. A spokesperson called South Park a “fourth-rate show” that “hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years” and accused the political left of hypocrisy for praising its content.

Other figures depicted have also responded. After an earlier episode, Vice President J.D. Vance quote-tweeted an image of his cartoon character with the caption, “Well, I’ve finally made it”. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem criticized the show for making fun of her appearance, calling the humor “lazy”.

“Just like the creators of South Park, the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows,” said White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers in a statement to Rolling Stone.

How to Watch The Season 28 Finale

“The Crap Out” premiered on Comedy Central on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. For viewers who missed the live broadcast, the episode is now available for streaming.

  • Streaming Availability: The episode is available on Paramount+, typically the day after its cable premiere.
  • Full Series Library: In a major shift for streaming rights, the entire South Park library, including all 28 seasons, is now available to stream on Paramount+ in the United States and globally.

The episode concludes a shortened, five-episode season for South Park. The show follows an unconventional production schedule, and Season 28 began abruptly after a brief pause following Season 27, which also consisted of five episodes. This structure is part of a larger deal with Paramount that guarantees a certain number of new episodes.
