The new episode of Spartacus: House of Ashur will not air this week as originally expected. Starz has moved the release of Episode 8 to Friday, January 23, 2026, following a one-week break in the schedule. Fans in the United States can watch the episode at its usual time, 8 PM Central Standard Time, on the Starz network and app.
The network did not provide a specific reason for the schedule change. Instead of a new episode on January 16, Starz aired a documentary special titled “The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast: Tale of Two Brothers” in the show’s time slot.
Spartacus House of Ashur Episode 8 Story Details and Episode Title
The upcoming eighth episode of the season is officially titled “Horizons.” An official logline for the episode states: “Achillia prepares for her return to the arena, while Ashur faces a devastating setback.”
This suggests major developments for the two central characters. In the previous episode, Ashur’s plan to gain control of a rival estate fell apart. He then made a dangerous deal with Cornelia, the wife of Julius Caesar, which collapsed at a public auction. This forced Ashur and his ally Cossutia to set a trap for their rival, Proculus.
Meanwhile, the gladiator Achillia is training for her return to combat despite a significant hand injury. Her training with Celadus has stirred difficult memories from her past, affecting her focus. Episode 8 will see her step back into the arena under this pressure.
“Achillia prepares for her return to the arena, while Ashur faces a devastating setback.”
The season is confirmed to have a total of ten episodes, making “Horizons” the beginning of the final story stretch.
