The young Jedi are back for their last adventure. The third and final season of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures is scheduled to arrive on Disney+ and the Disney Jr. television channel on December 8, 2025. A new trailer promises a major time jump, new faces, and familiar threats as Kai, Lys, and Nubs prepare to “follow your friends one last time”. The season will consist of seven episodes, all launching on the same day for streaming.

Release Date And Streaming Details For Season 3

Mark your calendars for a galactic adventure. All seven episodes of Young Jedi Adventures Season 3 will be available to stream on Disney+ starting December 8, 2025. For families watching on television, the Disney Jr. channel will begin airing the season on the same date, showing one episode per day.

This release follows the completion of the show’s second season, which finished airing in March 2025. The new season will also bring a musical treat. A soundtrack EP featuring three tracks from composer Andy Bean will be released by Walt Disney Records on December 8.

New Cast Members And Returning Voices

The voice cast for the final season welcomes new talent while bringing back a familiar voice for a special appearance. The core group of young Jedi is led by Ja’Siah Young, who voices Kai Brightstar. He is joined by returning stars Juliet Donenfeld as Lys Solay and Dee Bradley Baker as Nubs. Piotr Michael also returns as the wise Master Yoda.

Season 3 introduces two key new characters. Mason Wertheimer joins the cast as Rek Minuu, a mischievous master droidsmith who causes trouble for the young heroes. April Winchell voices Dotti, a friendly local shop owner known for her skill at fixing droids.

In a notable return, Jamaal Avery Jr., who was the original voice of Kai Brightstar in Season 1, will come back to voice an older Padawan Kai in the series epilogue. Other returning cast members include Emma Berman as pilot Nash Durango, Trey Murphy as Cyrus, and Gunnar Sizemore as Wes Vinik.

What The New Season 3 Trailer Reveals

The official trailer, released in November 2025, shows the young Jedi facing their biggest challenges yet. The tagline “follow your friends one last time” strongly suggests this season will conclude the characters’ journey together. A major reveal in the trailer is a significant time jump, showing Kai, Lys, and Nubs as older Padawans now sporting the traditional Padawan braids.

The young heroes will face off against the new villain, Rek Minuu, and befriend the helpful Dotti. They also meet a trio of new droid companions named Beepers, Dozer, and Gigi. The trailer hints at adventures in underwater environments, possibly on the planet Naboo, and continues the ongoing story of Cyrus and his Taborr disguise.

“Gather your younglings to watch Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures Season 3 on December 8.”

Story Background And Series Details

Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures is set during the High Republic era, centuries before the events of the main Star Wars films. The series follows Jedi younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs as they learn the ways of the Force under the guidance of Master Yoda. They explore the galaxy, help those in need, and learn important lessons about teamwork and self-discipline.

The show first premiered on May 4, 2023โ€”Star Wars Dayโ€”and is the first full-length Star Wars animated series created specifically for preschool-aged children and their families. It is produced by Lucasfilm in collaboration with Wild Canary. The show has been recognized with multiple awards, including Children’s & Family Emmy Awards.

The series is executive produced by Lucasfilm’s James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, and Josh Rimes, with Michael Olson as showrunner and Elliot M. Bour as supervising director.

A Look Back At The Young Jedi’s Journey

Since its debut, Young Jedi Adventures has released over 48 episodes across its first two seasons. The first season aired from 2023 into early 2024, with the second season launching in August 2024 and concluding in March 2025. The show has been praised for creating an engaging first Star Wars experience for young viewers, focusing on character development and positive life lessons.

The announcement for the third season was made in April 2025 at Star Wars Celebration Japan. With the third season confirmed as the final chapter, the series will conclude the adventures of Kai, Lys, and Nubs as they continue to grow in their Jedi training.
